    ASP C35A custom crank pulley bolt1st run ASP crankshaft pulleys which made their debut in December 2013 suffer from a shallowflange at the crankshaft bolt contact point. The shallow flange doesn't allow Acura's OEM bolt toproperly seat the pulley and the pulley will fail without a custom washer/bolt combination.

    The ASP custom bolt for 1st run pulleys with shallow flange issue is composed of a custom cutwasher fitted onto OEM crank bolt.

    ASP C35A custom washer recess

    The recessed portion of the custom washer is ~7.452mm

    This yields an overall difference of ~2.677mm which is more than enough to ensure satisfactorysurface contact with the pulley.

    ASP C35A custom washer fit

    In the following screens I will show the precision of ASP's custom bolt/washer for 1st run C35A

    pulleys.

    See in this picture that the washer completely fills the center mounting point.

    ASP C35A custom washer fit

    The applied dye below indicates a superb surface fit of the washer against crank pulley flange.

    Though not shown, upon removing the pulley we observed virtually no dye transfer to the crankshaft,this indicates there is no overlap of the washer onto the crankshaft.

    ASP C35A washer/pulley fit

    1. The image below shows perfect cut and fit which allows washer to act as crankshaft pulley

    extension.

    2. Test engine has fairly thick application of engine enamel to engine cover and, though no rubbingsound was noticed, some enamel did peel off on the pulley with little noticable missing from plasticcover.
