answerZEBRA MAKER EYES 10% SALES GROWTHTHE NATION
Satien Stainless Steel Public Company Limited, the maker of Zebra brand kitchenware, this year targets 5- to 10-per-cent growth in sales from last year’s Bt1.7 billion. It saw business growth of more than 14 percent in the first quarter. The company has also expanded its sales channels in the both domestic and overseas markets to cater to growth in the Asean market. Last year, it deployed the Z-robot to enhance its production process at its plant in Rayong, boosting production capacity there by 20 percent. The movie is part of the continued modernization of its production process, using cutting edge technology. The Z-robot is used to move heavy products and can reduce the rate of accidents on the production line. Its performance helps the company control its production quality. Currently, the company has a production capacity for kitchenware of 7,500 tonnes per year. Its products range from kitchenware to tableware and electrical appliances, said Ekachai Youngvanich, vice-CEO.
