Can occur with a substance use problem or disorder which is known
as concurrent disorder or issue

• Mental health and mental illness are distinct, but interrelated
concepts.
• Individuals experiencing mental illness can experience positive
mental health. And individuals without mental illness do not
necessarily have good mental health.
