Members are encouraged to join at least one of the following ASEC working committees:
Trade and Investment Committee Task: Establish a Holding Company of SSE enterprises
Intergovernmental Policy and Advocacy Committee Task: Launch an inter-governmental forum on SSE
Membership Committee Task: Expand ASEC membership and organize SSE Forums
If you or your organization is interested to join our cause for an alternative economic development model that builds sustainable communities, all you need to do is:
1. Attend a briefing/ orientation on the ASEC
2. If applying for institutional membership, secure a Board Resolution signifying your organization’s interest to join the ASEC
3. Accomplish and submit the Membership Application Form
4. Pay the membership dues and other assessments

Our Working Committees
The Asian Solidarity Economy Council
ASEC undertakes programs that promote, stimulate and support SSE enterprises in the Philippines, such as:
Raising up of social entrepreneurs who possess edifying values and excel in fostering partnerships for SSE development among government agencies, private companies, NGOs, and self-managed enterprises of the people;
Capacity-building of stakeholders of SSE supply chains; and
Providing development services in support of SSE supply chains where self-managed enterprises of ordinary people are included as co-equal stakeholders.
Responsibilities of Individual members:
Obey and comply with ASEC bylaws, rules and regulations
Attend all meetings Pay membership dues and other
assessments
Responsibilities of Institutional members:
Represent the ASEC in all matters relating to SSE
Deliver programs, projects and services of ASEC to their constituencies
Protect the interest of ASEC Pay membership dues and other
assessments
Who We Are The Asian Solidarity Economy Council (ASEC) is a duly registered non-profit organization in the Philippines that partners with individuals and organizations, including government, private companies, other NGOs, and self-managed enterprises of ordinary people, the socially excluded and economically disadvantaged – in co-creating social solidarity economy (SSE).
