36 years of partnership
Message from the Chairman
Since 1981, the Asian Bankers Association (ABA) has been the premier platform for Asian
banks to network with each other, share information and know-how, promote cooperation,
and advocate bankers’ interest nationally and internationally.
ABA groups over 70 of the largest leading commercial banks and financial institutions
in Asia Pacific with the objectives of:
• Exploring banking opportunities in Asia Pacific
• Enhancing the role of bankers in the economic development of the Asia Pacific region.
We achieve these goals by organizing annual conferences, conducting dialogues with
regulators, establishing alliances with strategic partners, advocating banking policies,
publishing newsletters and journals, and conducting training programs.
We invite you to join us and take an active role in our effort of promoting regional
cooperation among bankers and enhancing the financial and economic development of the
region.
