12th annual

Asia Tax Forum 20173 & 4 May, 2017 | Goodwood Park Hotel, Singapore The 12th Asia Tax Forum, the premier event in the region for taxpayers, officials and practitioners, will be held at the Goodwood Park Hotel inSingapore on May 3rd and 4th 2017.

The impact of the BEPS Action Plan continues to be felt all over the world, not least in Asia. This year has seen participating countries, including non-OECD jurisdictions in this region, agree on the Multilateral Instrument (MLI)to incorporate the Plan’s changes into the thousands of bilateral taxtreaties in existence around the world. It was work that many observerspredicted could not be done in the time allowed for it. But it has been andnow it is up to each jurisdiction concerned to implement it.

The Asia Tax Forum will debate the MLI’s practical effect on planning anddiscuss how it will change tax treaty policy in the future.

The always-developing tax environment makes it essential that taxexecutives in Asia keep themselves informed of what is going on thatmight affect how they manage their company’s tax obligations. The AsiaTax Forum has become the best opportunity for tax leaders to obtainsuch information and meet and share ideas about and experience ofdealing with tax issues in the region.

Goodwood Park Hotel is Singapore’s distinguished heritagehotel. Housed in a uniquely designed building dating back to1900, this 5-star hotel has been faithfully restored, with theGrand Tower gazetted a national monument in 1989.
