How IDAG Promotes Members to Donors

1) In 2010: Brochure, Calendar. In 2011: E-cards, E-Signatures and World Map. These will highlight the work of our United Ways. We will need photos/permissions and success stories to include in these promotional materials.

2) Google Earth. We would like to place all United Way members on Google Earth. We need your permission, however.

3) Please re-sign your IDAG documentation on July 1st of each year. This will ensure that all of our United Ways are on the same schedule, and we won’t need to request information for an entire year.

4) Add us to your listservs, newsletter transmissions, etc.

5) Website re-vamp is complete.

6) Please view our IDAG webinar, if you haven’t already: http://uwa.acrobat.com/p48753264/

Increasing Resources for Social Investment: Discussion

• What are your programming priorities—education, income, health, environment, etc?

• Are you open to receiving funds outside of your priority areas?

• Are you interested in implementing disaster programming?

• Who are your top 5 US-based donors?

• Which US-based companies that operate in your area have you already approached and which would you like to approach? How can we (IDAG and GCL) work best with you to make this happen?

• What suggestions do you have for increasing US-based interest in your UW? Are there expatriates (US citizens living abroad) in your countries that want to give to your UWs and want a tax deduction from the US? (US embassy officials, Peace Corps, corporate leaders, etc).
