Hey AIESEC!In 2 months’ time, Asia Pacific

Conference (APC) 2013 will be in full swing in Singapore - just imagine Asia Pacific External Relations (AP ER) Summit, Youth Leaders Summit (YLS), Information Management (IM) and Asia Pacific eXchange & Leadership Development Seminar (APXLDS), as well as our Special Events of Global Village (GV), Asia Pacific Youth to Business (AP Y2B) Forum and Asia Pacific Awards & Singapore Night all happening right in front of you!

Yes, the wait is over to apply as

a delegate to the most exciting, most impactful and most anticipated AP event of the year, except that this time around it will be bigger and better than ever before! As we stand on the threshold of a new year, 1 February 2013 will usher in the second round of delegate applications APXLDS and opening of delegate registration for IM Summit. More details on the delegate application and APC 2013 as a whole can be found in this information booklet.

in Southeast Asia. Founded as a British trading colony in 1819, Singapore has become one of the world’s most prosperous countries and has been the world’s busiest port. Combining skyscrapers and subways of a modern,

affluent city with a medley of Chinese, Malay and Indian influences, this Garden City makes a great stopover and springboard into the Asia Pacific region with its tropical climate, tasty food, good shopping and a vibrant night-life scene.

Venue

Costa Sands Resort (Downtown East) remains a popular holiday destination for locals looking for a quick getaway. A wide range of facilities are available such as BBQ areas, a pool, Wild Wild Wet and bowling. Rooms are air-conditioned and come equipped with a TV set, a DVD player and free Wi-Fi access, among others.

YLS 2013 is established in part in response to the government initiative of National Conversation. It will feature 3 days, from 23 to 25 March, of intensive networking, discussions and call for action for 200-250 local and 50 regional tertiary youth from Asia Pacific aimed at conversations and concrete action

plans on key Singapore issues which revolve around Education, Economy and Community.

This provides the platform for stakeholders to interact with Singapore and regional youth leaders, government bodies and companies towards the common goal of an inclusive and dynamic society.

Asia Pacific eXchange & Leadership Development Seminar (APXLDS) is an annual leadership conference that boasts to be one of the largest regional conferences hosted by AIESEC. The conference focuses on cultivating young people’s leadership potential and creating an international learning environment that centers

on cultural sensitivity, active learning, social responsibility, and entrepreneurship.

AIESEC leaders from over 20 Asia Pacific entities gather to align in direction, learn about world issues, develop knowledge and skills, network and interact with partners and supporters.

Global VillageMarch 23 | APXLDS & YLS Delegates

Global Village is an excellent platform for delegates to showcase their own country’s culture and lifestyle. It also allows delegates to experience cultures around Asia Pacific by trying cuisine or engaging in local practicies.

This year, Global Village aims to reach out to over 2000

participants. The event will not only cater to delegates from APXLDS and YLS, but also to Singaporean youth, corporate entities, media and government. Through local engagement APC 2013’s Global Village will create a large impact on society.

As the Asia Pacific region continues to grow and expand, youth and businesses alike have to keep up with the fast pace of advancement and have to equip themselves with skills that are essential to bring the region to the forefront of the world stage.

The inaugural Asia Pacific Youth to Business (Y2B) Forum organized by AIESEC Singapore will therefore serve as a platform for two-way interaction and collaboration between youth and businesses in Asia Pacific for Asia Pacific.
