A WORD ABOUT THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

American English vs British EnglishThe best known difference between these variants of English is the spelling; for example, the COLOR GRAY is SPELLED that way in the US as opposed to the COLOUR GREY is SPELT that way in the UK. Both mean the same thing! Then when it comes to pronunciation, some words have the same spelling but sound different. For example in the US, the word adult is prounced ‘uh-dult’ whereas in the UK, it is ‘add-ult’. Another example is ‘enn-velope’ in the UK and ‘on-velope’ in the US for the word envelope.

The good news is, most Americans and Brits understand the other side so you’ll not be lost in translation!

Singapore atmosphere vs New Zealand atmosphereAs Singapore is a city-state, it is naturally more built up than the country of New Zealand and as it is smaller, you can see many things in a short space of time. Also with its size comes efficiency, both in the city’s organization and way of doing business.

New Zealand has a sparser population density so expect more countryside and space (in fact there are more sheeps than humans)! Life is very relaxed offering a great opportunity to explore the stunning scenery

All in all, the key to choosing a country is to find the program that best fits your needs and your budget. At the end of the day, you’re bound to have a life-changing experience whether you study in the US, UK, New Zealand, Canada, Australia or Singapore!

What exactly is the Ambassador program? Simply put, it’s about an international community of EF students who are passionate about sharing their experience. Whether they post something on Facebook, help out at their local student fairs, or blog about their experience, Ambassadors get rewards for spreading the word.

Rewards range from movie tickets or a new iPad to a free language course abroad. Eventually they might even be able to attend one of the International Ambassador Meetings. The world is theirs - and can be yours, too.

Find out more at: www.ef.com/Ambassador Join EF’s Family Club – and your loved ones will save

5% when they enroll in a language course abroad and earn exclusive gifts like a free excursion or priority scholarship consideration.
