PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
The SRC has organised a mu i day for tomorrow to raise funds for projects around the school that the boys feel are
important. As with most things at ABHS we try to make sure that student voice is a part of decisions that are appropriate for
the boys’ involvement. As the users of the school playground, this fundraising ac vity is one of these mes. I would urge you to
allow your son to support this venture by coming out of uniform tomorrow dressed in appropriate clothing for school. Details
of this was sent home last week in a note and addi onal informa on is contained in the a ached flyer.
I men oned in last week’s Ashtag that parents with sons in Years 7 and 9 should expect to receive their NAPLAN results in the
mail this week. If you have not received this by Friday could you please call the school and let us know. We are in the process
of analysing the NAPLAN results so that we can refine our teaching. The ini al analysis shows that the 2015 results showed
improvements in most areas over 2014.
A final reminder about the P&C Trivia Night on Saturday in the school hall. If you have any dona ons for prizes or are able to
help out please contact the P&C President, Louise Brooks [email protected].
