Wednesday Night Suppers
Around Ashland
New Members! Welcome to Ryan and Andra Keith to Ashland. Ryan is Ashland’s youth director. They have one son, Thomas. The Upper Room booklets for January-February are on the communication rack across from the Cornerstone classroom. We would like to thank the Ashland congregation for all the acts of kindnesses shown to us during the recent loss of our son-in-law, Cliff Vaughn. Frank and Harriett Ward The altar flower calendar for 2019 is on the bulletin board across from the church offices. The cost for one vase of flowers is $55.00 and two vases are $105.00. Message from Suzy It’s not goodbye, it’s “see you around!” Thank you doesn’t seem like enough to express my eternal gratitude to each of you for all these wonderful years. Your support, encouragement, help, sympathy, joy and love have meant so much to me (and my family). I have enjoyed working at Ashland and being in ministry with you in so many ways. Know that we will miss seeing you on Sundays but expect to see you all around town and at other United Methodist Events. Carlton and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and Blessings for the New Year! ~ Suzy

Children’s Ministry
Bible Studies
It Takes a Village… … from 16 month old Thomas to 16 year olds
MacKenzie and Kaitlyn and all ages in between, our
children and youth (with no practice) gave to
Ashland at both services on Dec 9, the gift of the
nativity
…Our 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th grade class created a large
card with hand-made flowers for Mrs. Suzy and
drew individual pictures with thank you notes
…Our 3 yr, 4 yr, 5K, and 1st grade class loved
drawing pictures of themselves, their favorite
colors, the church, etc.… for Mrs. Suzy
…In Bibleland recently, the children acted out the
nativity story using their Sunday School lessons;
immediately upon finishing, they asked, “Can we do
it again?” So we did and they asked again, “Can we
do it one more time?”
…Fellowship Bible class wrote individual Christmas
cards with an added candy cane to all the Sunday
School children
…Ashland’s children and youth are blessed with
caring adults, and each child/youth in Sunday
School and all children’s activities have been
especially blessed by Mrs. Suzy’s love and care for
each. Jesus said, “Let the children come to
me.” Mrs. Suzy welcomes each child just as Jesus
did.
Join us in room 125 at 6:45 pm each Wednesday with Pastor Shannon for a Bible Study on the
