AVL Fathers’ Fest at Highland BreweryChili Cook-Off 

Saturday, June 16, 2012 

POLICIES:

  The postmarked application deadline is June 11, 2012. Late applications will

not be accepted.

  Setup: 11:45am to 12:45pm.

  Chili cook-off competition: 1pm to 2pm.

  The competition will take place at Highland Brewery.

  Competitors can bring their own tables, chairs and tents.

  AVL Fathers’ Fest is an outdoor event, and will proceed rain or shine. Competitors

are responsible for their own rain protection. Organizers will not provide tents.

  All tents must be firmly secured. A system such as buckets filled with concrete is

suggested.

  Electricity is not available.

  The chili must be fully cooked and warm upon arrival at the cook-off. (The supplied

sternos are meant to continue to keep the chili heated, not heat it up from cold.)

  Bring ONE AND A HALF to TWO (1.5 - 2) GALLONS of chili.

  Bring serving utensils.

  You may bring palate cleansers, crackers, chips, cornbread, but it isn’t mandatory.

  Aluminum chafing dishes, sternos, bowls, napkins and spoons will be provided by the

organizers.
