According to the tradition, the tomb of the prophet Jona is located on the hill.

The coastal sands of Ashdod are spread over an area of 15

kilometers. The highest point in

Ashdod sand park is situated on the large

sand dune.

was built in the beginning of the 19th

century. After Independence war

the bridge was upgraded.
