We are just a bunch of guys that LOVE to work on cars! We know that sounds a little cliche’, but it is true. We

love to work on cars so much that we typically have a project or two that the shop is working on. Usually classic cars that go back decades – or maybe even a tear down of a customer’s car that we literally take TOTALLY apart, and recondition…better than new!

Great experience all around!

First off, these guys know their car stuff, but were still willing to listen carefully to what I (who doesn’t know much car

stuff!) had to say and what I wanted done. Since I had to wait a couple hours for the repairs, they set me up in the

very nice waiting room with wi-fi so I could connect to my work while they did their work. And in the end, I got my

car back with everything working, a great explanation for what they did, and a reasonable price. BTW, their website

is easy to use, as well!

Great serviceThey did a good job explaining what was wrong

with my car to me, which I appreciate since I’m not

the most knowledgeable about cars. While waiting

for my car, they have a great waiting room with

Netflix and wifi. When I needed to go home, they

gave me a ride home and picked me up when my

car was done. Very convenient and great service. I

will be going back again and again.

TrustworthyASG correctly identified a no-start issue on my Mazda after another shop tried 3 different fixes. They were also invaluable in their pre-purchase inspec-tion, steering me away from a car that looked good on the outside but turned out to need to much work on the inside. Their pre-purchase inspection of a rather unlikely find found a diamond in the rough! Their thorough inspection gave me a clear idea of repairs needed over the next few years and I felt very confident in my purchase negotiations.

Above and Beyond Service

ASG came highly recommended, and they did not

disappoint. Corie was very helpful and informative in

diagnosing my Audi’s repairs. He even came into the office

extra early to do a final testdrive before I picked it up that

AM. He walked me through each diagnosis and made

recommendations for the future. If I weren’t moving, I

would continue to use their services every single time.

Once Again…………Great Job!!I have already expressed my appreciation for a job well

done in a separate email which I sent directly to ASG.

We have been customers there for 10+ years, which

speaks for itself. Honest, dependable, no “up-selling” of

services, accurate, fair pricing, and funny to boot!!

Great Customer ServiceCustomer service is always great at ASG. I love being able to schedule an appt online and getting text reminders/offers. The waiting room is very comfortable and pleasant. The service is done for a fair and reasonable price. I never feel like I’m getting ripped off with them. They are very respectful and helpful. They are also fast. Love the Saturday hours too.

Long-time customer very satisfiedWe have been taking our cars to ASG for over ten years and have always been very happy with their service and pricing. Since they have done most of the work on our cars, they know them and their history, which helps alot when we run into problems.. They know me when I walk in the door and are always happy to help. My only concern would be that they are not always great about calling with price estimates and when the work is done.

Did YouKnow That?

Just the other day, I ran into one a long time customer of mine that I hadn’t seen in a while. When I asked her where she had been for the past year, she told me that she and her husband just bought a new vehicles and were going to the dealer for service. I asked her how the dealer was treating them. “Awful,” she replied. “Whenever I go in it’s 2 hours just for an oil change!” I asked her why she had been taking her car to the dealer for service, to which she replied, “Doesn’t it void the warranty if I don’t??” NO!!! Back in 1975, Congress passed a law called the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Among many provisions to protect consumers against misleading warranties, the Magnuson-Moss Act prohibits the use of any tie-in sales provisions which might require you to return to a particular company or use a particular brand of parts to service your car. That means you can take your car wherever you want for service! The

manufacturer can only void your warranty if you don’t have the service done at all. So keep up on your maintenance! What about recalls? A while back I realized that despite hating to go to the dealer for service, many people did so they could make sure any recalls were performed in a timely manner. Wanting to offer the most complete automotive service possible, we at ASG have made it a part of our normal mileage maintenance to ensure that your vehicle is up to date. Before your car comes in for service, we call the dealer to find out if there are any open recalls. If there are open recalls, we can shuttle your vehicle to and from the dealer for you so you don’t have to make 2 trips to the car shop. On top of that, all our work is backed by a 3 year, 36k mile warranty—that’s 2 years and 24k miles better than the dealer anyway! When is your next service due?

Taking your vehicle to ASG Automotive regularly can help make sure your vehicle is operating correctly and running smoothly. You can also raise the hood and not be intimidated by following a few simple recommendations for owner maintenance. But if you are intimidated by all the hoses and wires, drive your car over to ASG and have Coire take a look under the hood with you. He loves helping people learn more about their cars. A few minutes each month could save you money or repairs down the line. It is proven when you maintain your vehicle properly, you save 42% versus waiting on the breakdown to happen and having to get it fixed at that time. It is true, an ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure!

We make taking care of your car easy. Here are a few tips to get started.

Jaqualynn’s

Ladies, lets face it. Most of us don’t know the first thing cars. Most of us just let our husbands or boyfriends take care of it. Or, for us single ladies, when you get overwhelmed with the worn out windshield wipers, the burned out tail lights, and the rattling noises under the hood, we just follow the next four simple steps.

1. Make sure you have car insurance. 2. Wait for an ice storm, a large tornado, or even a mildly breezy day. 3. Park under a large, possibly dead, unstable looking tree.4. Buy a new car!

But seriously, not every woman needs to know how to tune her car’s engine. Some don’t even know that the engine needs to be tuned. As girl who had to start her car from under the hood anytime she wanted to go somewhere, I quickly learned the importance of proper maintenance. Here are just a few basic tips for my fellow ladies to follow. First things first, know your owner’s manual. You don’t have to read every single word. Most of us are clueless to terms such as differential and starter solenoid. Say what?! But the handbook is

a good place to start if you have questions and it’s too late to call ASG. Something a girl should be able to know how to check on her car is the tire pressure. It is one of the easiest parts of your car to check and makes a huge difference in how well your car performs. Maintaining tire pressure helps save gas and there will be less wear on the car, not to mention it’s just plain safer. You can get a basic pressure gauge pretty cheap at any auto store. Once you have that, unscrew the valve stem cap on the tire and press the end of the gauge over the valve stem. You’ll hear a little air escape, but that’s ok as long as you do it quickly. When the gauge is positioned correctly the stick inside the gauge will pop out. The last number visible on the stick shows you what the tire’s pressure is. Most tires have the recommended psi marked on the tire or you can find it on the inside of the car doors. This is important for proper handling and efficient fuel economy! One of the more important parts of basic care maintenance are regular oil changes, or as you get at ASG, an Oil Service! I’m assuming if you needed help on the first step, you probably can’t change the oil on your own either. This

is probably the easiest tip to remember. Bring it to ASG! ASG recommends bringing your car in once about every 3,000 miles. Just call them up and they’ll take it from there! One of the cool things about ASG is that their oil change is actually called an oil SERVICE! Why? Well, a lot of quick lube places put emphasis on getting you to buy the upgrades, even when you might not need them - you know, the air and cabin filters, wipers, etc. ASG will recommend items ONLY IF YOU NEED THEM with no guilt trip that you car will quit running, explode or many other unsaid things that we dream of happening! Plus, with their multi-point inspection that they do during the Oil Service, you will get a convenient, easy to follow recommendation overview, color coded and all, to know what you should turn your attention to next! Also, it was nice not getting a sales pitch in the middle of my Oil Service! Following these basic rules does not guarantee that nothing will go wrong with your car. However, it will go a long way toward preventing surprise breakdowns. And it’s highly unlikely us single gals will get rescued on the side of the road by a knight in shining armor!

Tools of the Trade

We spend a lot of time talking about proper maintenance at ASG. We believe that maintaining your vehicle is some of the best money you can spend on your car. That is because it is 42% cheaper to maintain your vehicle than it is to repair it. Changing your coolant before it becomes acidic and eats away at gaskets and seals costs on average $125. An intake gasket can cost over $500 to replace on some vehicles. Changing your coolant can help prevent those gaskets from giving out. The way we get that old coolant out of your vehicle at ASG is with a coolant exchange machine. The technician hooks this machine up to your radiator and engine and runs your vehicle using your water pump to pump your old coolant out and your new coolant in. Ask for a demo, and save money on a tow in the future!

What Does TheEmblem on the Grill Mean?

The four rings of the Audi logo represent the merger of 4 companies that merged following in 1932. The 4 companies were Audi, Wanderer, DKW and Horch. The Audi name is Latin

for listen or hear. Horch, believe it or not is German for the same term - coincidence or fate? Today, Audi delivers some of the most finely tuned automobiles on the road today.

Was the Ford logo ALWAYS blue? Nope. Ford Motor Company, started in 1903, Ford turned to Harold Willis who created a script font for his business card. It continued to evolve as the oval was added around the scripted FORD in 1912 and the color was added in 1927 for the launch of the Model T.

Well, first off, BMW stand for Bavarian Motor Works. In case you needed to know that. Now that we have that clear, you need to know what KIND of motors they made - engines for German Military Planes in WWII. The colors represent the blue and white in the Bavarian flag...and the

round shape? Look closely and you might see homage to their heritage - a spinning propeller.

The arrow in the Volvo logo is quite simple - it represents the conventional sign for iron - one of the best known resources of Sweden, where Volvo is headquartered. When you say

“I go”, you can also say Volvo as it is the Latin equivalent.

Built Ram tough. What does that mean to you? A fierce fighter? Stubborn attitude? Sure footed? King of the trail? Well, that is why you see a Ram in the logo. All of the

above are true and the logo says it all as Dodge emulates that image...on and off the road!

Founded in 1903, there were only three models. The LeSabre, Invicta and Electra. The badges in the Buick logo were representative of the aforementioned models. While some of these models might be on the road, they are history as far as coming off the production line. While Buick has expanded to 5 vehicles - none of them carry the name of the three original Buick models.

Does this look a little like your family crest? Well, that is because it is based on the crest of the family upon which the company was named. An minor

aristocrat named, Antoine de La Mothe, Seigneur de Cadillac (Sir of Cadillac). In 1701, de La Mothe founded Fort Pontchartrain which would later become

Detroit. Cadillac was named after de La Mothe in 1902, following a bicentenary celebration of the founding of the city.

What does the emblem on the grill mean? How did it evolve? Have you ever looked at your car’s logo and said - why? Why the interlocking circles? Why the blue and white alternating colors? Why is the arrow there? Three badges? What is up with the Cadillac logo? Well, let’s dive into these questions and more. You will WOW your friends at your next dinner party. Trust us.

We hope you enjoyed learning a little about the cars you drive and the vehicles we service here at ASG. But we don’t just work on these cars. If you drive it, we can service it. We look forward to seeing you soon at ASG!
