Master’s Course in
International RelationsJanuary - December 2013Università Cattolica del Sacro CuoreASERI - Postgraduate School of Economics and International RelationsVia San Vittore, 18 - Milan, Italy
THE ASERI DIFFERENCE
ASERI Masters’ courses are in response to the current job market demands: they train students in a constant face to face comparison with theoretical topics, but provoking their personalities and experiences to form a practical and highly professional point of view.
With this in mind, the Università Cattolica decided to create ASERI in 1995 as a centre of excellence in the heart of Milan. Students experience the new global reality through a unique collaboration of exclusive international faculty, meetings with senior executives, multicultural classes, fl exible modular-format courses in English and international internships.
Given to its expertise and multi-disciplinay nature, the ASERI approach offers a strong functional understanding of international issues and processes, as well as an in-depth scientifi c study of methodologies, disciplines and career training.
Master’s Course inInternational Relations ONE YEAR TO TRAIN GLOBAL LEADERS
The MIR is an innovative postgraduate program developed for graduates willing to deepen their knowledge of the fi eld of international relations through an immediate privileged experience with a distinguished faculty and top-level professionals.
The principal aim of the Course is to provide students with knowledge and managerial skills indispensable for a professional career in international organizations and companies working in a constantly changing global environment.
The MIR provides a well-balanced combination of theory and practise, by focusing on international relations, economics, politics and law, as well as, those emerging issues that challenge today’s global system: trade, fi nance, security, information and communication technology, energy, environment and global networks.

EXPERIENCES OF ASERI
“ASERI is a meeting point… of disciplines: international economics, politics,
business; …of approaches: academic, managerial and institutional; …of
people: different backgrounds, different nationalities and different ages. This
mix makes of ASERI a source of opportunities”.
Massimo Sparagi, Senior Manager, ABB - Milan
“ASERI has been a special period of my life, ̀ short but intense` so to say, as even
if it lasted less than one year it had a long term impact on my professional life
for many years to come. Since I started university my main goal has been to
work in the fi eld of development with international organizations such as the
United Nations, but after my fi rst degree it was clear that I could not achieve
such goal without a solid international oriented training that could provide the
profi le required by those organizations. The Master at ASERI has been for me
the opportunity to develop such a higher profi le, mainly by giving access to an
incredible reserve of both global knowledge and inspirational people, two key
ingredients that shaped my career path beyond expectations!”
Arouna Roshanian, Programme Specialist Private Sector Development, UNDP Iraq
– Amman
“ASERI has been the place of our maturity, where peculiarities - depending
on different nature and education - found their way out in a more mature
consciousness of our aptitudes related to the professional goals offered by the
essential economic fi elds of our society”.
Luigi Zarro, Senior Consultant, Buchan Consulting - Melbourne
“I am very proud of my Master at ASERI, one of the highlights of my academic
career. It brings people from different parts of the world together and builds
bridges between cultures. For me, ASERI is an international platform where
everybody can voice their opinions without prejudice. I am glad that I had a
chance to study in an environment of sharing and understanding”.
Ceren Uysal, Research Fellow, Akdeniz University - Antalya
“During the months at ASERI, I had the benefi t of being exposed to a broad
array of subjects and advantage of being instructed by excellent professors who
offered their unique insight and views in their respective areas of expertise”.
Mauro Gioè, Programme Manager Economic Sector, European Commission - Brussels
