in advancing and promoting the issue of autism in

the region.

The launching is successful. The newspaper in

Indonesia highlighted this event for the public.

on The Development of the Methodology

for Mapping of Country Profiles on Autism

Objective: to develop methodology on

mapping of country profiles on autism which

will contribute to the development of ASEAN

Profile and Policy Recommendations.

Outcome : is the template of country profiles

for collecting data on autism. Country profiles

will be finally compiled as a regional profile

called “Autism at a Glance in ASEAN”

APCD mission led by Mr. Piroon Laismit, ExecutiveDirector, went to Putrajaya, Malaysia and had ameeting with Dato Maria Bernard, Director ofDepartment for the Development of Persons withDisabilities, Ministry of Women, Family andCommunity Development (MOWFCD) in Putrajaya.

ASEAN Autism Games 2018 was joined by many VIP

persons from both public and private organizations

including the representative of ASEC

In ASEAN Autism Games, the disability inclusive

sports are promoted by utilizing, mobilizing and

maximizing the role model among persons with

autism, parents and supports through sports.

Final Remark

What I have learned from this Project is that

those persons we call “persons with disability”

actually are the same to us, the same to everyone.

They just have different abilities. They have abilities to do

many things that other people cannot. So, we should recognize

them as “persons with different ability” Thank you.
