An innovator in the operational intelligence industry, Chia has more than 20 years of experience in technology and business management. He provides strategic direction to Ascenz as it leads the international market in the delivery of its Shipulse solutions suite. Under his leadership, Ascenz has grown from a humble company to an award-winning company well-recognized in the industry for its innovation.
Chia is the Co-Founder of Ascenz and has served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Director since the company’s inception in 2008.
Chia holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business Computing with Financial Management from the University of Wales, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern Queensland.

Teck Hong currently serves as Director - Commercial for Ascenz Solutions, based in Ascenz’s Head Office in Singapore. He manages the global commercial efforts for Ascenz Solutions.
A seasoned business professional in the maritime, offshore and oil & gas industries, he has more than 24 years of experience managing sales, business development, account management and marketing in the Asia Pacific and EMEA regions. Prior to joining Ascenz Solutions, Teck Hong was the Regional Director - Asia Pacific, Nautical System Division, of the American Bureau of Shipping.

Viking currently serves as Senior Manager in the Ship Management Department of Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp.. A qualified Chief Engineer, Viking specializes in marine engine operations, big data analysis of ship energy efficiency and project management. In recent years, he has been actively involved in the Ministry of Science and Technology, Republic of China’s (Taiwan) investment project to develop a framework for smart shipping management and has collaborated with the National Cheng Kung University and the China Shipbuilding Corporation for the project. Viking also has extensive knowledge on classification societies’ certification of smart ship.

Roger currently serves as Manager - Product Development for Ascenz Solutions, based in Ascenz’s Head Office in Singapore. He manages the product development efforts for Ascenz Solutions in both Singapore and Yangon offices.
Roger holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University, and is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Analytics, offered by Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. He has over 15 years of software development experience and is a certified IT Project Manager (CITPM) with the Singapore Computer Society.

Dr Serena Lim spent her last 10 years in the School of Marine Science and Technology and School of Engineering at Newcastle University. Her areas of expertise are in marine hydrodynamics and marine data analytics. She has experience in coding, mathematical optimization, and data processing. She is currently Chief Scientific Officer for Ascenz Solutions.

Khen Hee is the Chairman of Singapore’s Technical Committee for Bunkering (TC) since 1992.
As TC Chairman, he led the development of Singapore bunkering standards SS CP60(1993), SS CP77(1999), TR8(2003), SS524(2006), SS600(2008), TR48(2015).
In 2009, he initiated the Singapore Bunker Mass Flow Metering (MFM) project. He led the TC-appointed Working Group to establish the principles, requirements, methodologies and procedures of TR48, which was published in 2015.
He also has leadership roles in the development of international bunkering standard ISO13739, and upcoming ISO bunkering standards based on TR48, ISO21562 and ISO22192.
He was with Port of Singapore Authority (now Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, MPA) from 1979 to 2003, serving in the container, operations, marine and commercial divisions. He was appointed Bunkering Services Manager from 1988 to 1996. In this role, he worked with the shipping and oil industries to promote and develop Singapore as the world’s top bunkering port. He led the organization of the first eight editions of SIBCON from 1988 to 1995. He also formulated and implemented numerous policies to improve efficiency and productivity, such as bunker tanker standards and bunkering standards.

Wei Wei joined GTT in 2014 as Business Development Manager. Based in GTT’s China office, Wei promotes the GTT membrane technology for the LNG shipping industry. Prior to joining GTT, he was Manager of the ship building design department at a state-owned shipyard, Engineering Support Manager at MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, and held top management role at a heavy industry company.
Wei graduated from the Wuhan University of Technology, majoring in Thermal Power and Mechanical Engineering. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Science and Technology of China.

Dr Oliver Hirsch received his doctor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2002 from the University of Siegen, Germany. In 2015 he obtained his Executive Master of Administration from FHNW (The University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland) in Basel, Switzerland. Besides these academic educations, Dr Oliver Hirsch is a Vibration Analyst in accordance to ISO 18436-2 Category I and II.
Before starting to work in the field of predictive diagnostics, Dr Oliver Hirsch gathered valuable experience by using inductive power transfer for electric mobility as well as with several conveying systems at a plant constructing company between 2002 and 2012.
Between 2012 and 2018, he was Head of Diagnostic Systems and responsible for the development of a combustion engine diagnostic system called ALPHABOX at Jaquet Technology Group. He gained experience by measuring and analysing of different 2- and 4-stroke diesel engines including turbochargers and torque measurements on various applications, like vessels, trains or power plants.
Since 2018 he is co-founder and co-owner of the company Alpha Diagnostics Ltd in Switzerland providing a revolutionary predictive diagnostic system for combustion engines, rotating machines, bearings and torque measurement which is based on torsional vibration.
