Airport Taxi

The journey from the airport to the city center takes 40-75 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Airport Limo taxis (tel. 03-8787 3378) operate a meet-and-greet service 24 hours/day from KL airport. Fares: approximately RM 100.

Taxi

Taxis are abundant and are a popular way to get around in KL (they operate 24 hours/day). Licensed taxis are safe and air conditioned. Be aware and avoid unlicensed taxis that often hang around the airport, charging a flat rate, and often not insured. Always opt for a licensed taxi. Taxis are required by law to use meters, with fares starting at RM3 for the first kilometer (budget taxis). Note that there are premium taxis (executive taxis, usually blue) with higher fares starting at RM6 for the first kilometer.

Uber/Grab

Uber and Grab apps are very popular in KL and across Malaysia. It would cost you approximately RM 75-85. The journey from the airport to the city center takes 40-75 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Lanai Kijang is the Bank Negara Malaysia’s residential complex located 5-10 minutes walk away from the Asia Business School campus.Lanai Kijang`s rooms come with a 32 inch LCD TV, high-speed internet access, International Direct Dialing (IDD), an ergonomic chair with a working table, individually controlled air-conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, coffee and tea making facilities, mini refrigerator and in-room safe. Additional amenities include a bathrobe, hair dryer and toiletries. The Studio rooms are additionally equipped with king size bed, sofa, walk-in wardrobe and kitchenette with microwave oven.

Administrative Guide

1. Purpose

• The purpose of this administrative guide is to provide event owners with the relevant information to ensure smooth running of events at Sasana Kijang and Lanai Kijang.• Event owner may share the given information with their respective guests as needed.• Administrative announcements to be made prior to start of event /during event /before the end of event as the event owner deem fit to facilitate guests understanding on the rules and procedures during their presence at Sasana Kijang and Lanai Kijang.

2. General

All guests/participants to Sasana Kijang and Lanai Kijang shall at all times:• observe and adhere to the Sasana Kijang and Lanai Kijang Rules and Regulations.• behave in a proper manner and maintain a high degree of decorum.

3. Highlights of Sasana Kijang and Lanai Kijang Rules and Regulations

Dress Code

• During event – Office wear.• Dining at Sasana Kijang Café / Residential Café / Staff Centre Café – Smart casual. (Sleeveless shirt, round neck t-shirt, short pants, short three quarter pants, slippers, sweaty and soiled sportswear are not allowed).

Food and Dining

• Sasana Kijang Visitors (including public) can dine at the Sasana Kijang Café/MAG Café. Participants to dine at designated lunch venue.

Lanai Kijang

• Stay-in guests can dine at the Staff Centre Café (all day dining). Vegetarian food is available and all food served is Halal.• Take-a way food is not allowed to be brought in to the Residential Café or Staff Centre Café.• Eating within the wellness centre, swimming pool area and courts is not permitted.• There is no room service. Guests who arrive from the airport after the Staff Centre closes (last order at 9.30 p.m.) are to arrange for their own dinner outside. However, special arrangements can be made for guests with disability.• Guests are allowed to consume take away food in their respective rooms.• Guests are strictly not allowed to bring pork, alcohol or strong scented food (like durian) into Lanai Kijang (inclusive of residential room).

Smoking

• For the safety and comfort, please note that Bank Negara Malaysia is a non-smoking area covering all venues in the building including Sasana Kijang and Lanai Kijang.• It is event owner’s responsibility to ensure that all attendees, guests and organizing team involving vendors and their workers do not smoke within the building.• Areas specifically dedicated for smoking are as following:• Sasana Kijang (near security post/entry point at LG4 and KMC Terrace area).• Lanai Kijang (two spots along the stretch of road between Multipurpose Hall and Staff Centre).

Lanai Kijang

• The location map of Lanai Kijang is available in all residential rooms. Upon check-in, the Front Office will also extend a copy to all guests.• Guests are advised to take along the location map whenever they leave the residential facility, as it will serve as a useful guide for guests to return to Lanai Kijang by taxi.• Mosque (near Lanai Kijang)

5. Parking

• Sasana Kijang - Parking will be available to guests at LG4 & LG5 at a flat rate of RM5. Pay stations are located at the respective levels.• Lanai Kijang – Parking will be available to guests at LG2 with no charges. However, numbers of parking lots available are limited.• Parking lots will not be reserved for any guests. The parking availability is on first come first serve basis.

6. Transportation Services by Hospitality Services

• Daily transfer service from LK – SK – LK will be provided to stay in guests (twice a day – before & after event).• For taxi services from SK to a city, participants/guests to make booking on their own. As for LK, guests are to approach Front Desk for reservation. Request must be put forward at least an hour prior to departure time.

7. Emergency & Health

• Alert the reception of Sasana Kijang and Lanai Kijang or event secretariat immediately if guests/Participants face any health problems or emergency situations.• Thermometer/first aid kit is available at the following locations: SK – Wellness Centre (LG2) LK – Front Office (Level 2)

(A) SPECIFICALLY FOR LANAI KIJANG

8. Room policies

• Official check-in time is 1400hrs and check-out time is 1200hrs. Guests are encouraged to book additional night if they are expecting to arrive any earlier than the check-in time stated. In the event of late check-out after 1400hrs, guest will be subjected to additional charges of RM10 per hour (subject to room availability).• Guests can bring their spouse, significant other or children of age 12 years and above during their stay at Lanai Kijang. Additional costs will be charged accordingly. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted entry at Lanai Kijang.

9. Sports and Recreational Facilities and Staff Centre Facilities

• The residential guests are allowed to use all sports and recreational facilities. A range of sports and recreational facilities are available for guests’ use. These include an outdoor swimming pool, a Wellness Centre (comprising a gymnasium, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and therapy rooms), tennis/street soccer, basketball, futsal and badminton cum sepak takraw courts. Appropriate gym, therapeutic and swimming attire is required to be worn for personal safety and modesty.• Guests can also use the dining facilities i.e. Residential Café and Staff Centre Café. All patrons to the Cafés are to adhere to dress codes as stated below at all times:• Either official wear or smart casual (sleeveless shirt, round neck t-shirt, short pants, three quarters, slippers, sweaty and soiled sportswear are not allowed).

• Lanai Kijang are located in a quiet neighbourhood. As such, guests are advised to use the available shuttle service (to Bank Negara Malaysia HQ or Sasana Kijang) or call for taxi service to go out of Lanai Kijang premise.• Guests can liaise with the Front Office of Lanai Kijang for shuttle or taxi services.• Guests should plan their travels and provide advance notice to the Front Office of Lanai Kijang for taxi service (at least two hours before departure time). Otherwise, the waiting period is 20 – 30 minutes or longer during peak periods.• Each room is equipped with a safe. Guests should keep their valuables and travel documents in the safe and avoid carrying large amount of cash.

Sasana Kijang – Business casual• Nice jeans are acceptable. No capris, holes rips or tears.• The air con is quite high in Sasana Kijang. We recommend having a long sleeve shirt, seater or shawl

with you.• Open toed shoes are permitted. No flip flops or casual sandals.

Lanai Kijang – Smart casual.• Dining at Residential Café / Staff Centre Café – Smart casual.• Business Casual for classroom sessions: sleeveless shirt, round neck t-shirt, short pants, short three

quarter pants, slippers, sweaty and soiled sportswear are not allowed.• There is a pool for exercise swimming at Lanai Kijang. Modest swim wear is required. (i.e. no bikinis).
