T-SHIRTS AND SINGLETS: T-shirts are our first love and core product and we’re constantly developing new ideas to push the boundaries of this iconic garment. We specialise in high quality combed cotton, fashion fits and innovative fabrics. Our t-shirts are now sold worldwide which is something we take a lot of pride in.

SWEATSHIRTS: Our sweatshirt range is now one of the most extensive on the market. Starting with basic hooded sweats we’ve gradually added everything from lightweight crew sweatshirts to heavy fleece jackets. With a selection of fabric weights and contrast sleeve options we have all bases covered.

HEADWEAR: Driven by strong demand we launched our first snapback baseball cap in 2012 with great results and followed up with a five-panel cap and a bucket hat soon after. This season we have a new trucker and lower profile snapback caps in the range along with two beanie styles in acrylic and cotton knits.

PANTS AND SHORTS: After noticing a gap for high quality basic pants we released our first chino pants, plain shorts and beach shorts in late 2012. The re-sponse was exceptional so we’ve recently added new styles like track pants and track shorts along with a functional swim short and two women’s fashion styles with a drawstring waist.

AS Colour started with a very simple idea: to create the best quality blank apparel for other people to print their ideas and designs on. We saw there was a growing demand being driven by young creative companies looking for an alternative to what was currently available in Australia and New Zealand. Everything we create is inspired by the kind of clothing we like to wear combined with input from our friends and customers. We love to see talented and innovative people use our garments as their starting point. A lot of people have started wearing our products unprinted now and we’re ok with that too. Since we started way back in 2005 our range has grown and evolved to meet new demands from our customers.

We require all of our factories to be W.R.A.P and OEKO-TEX certified, ensuring safe dyes, sweatshop-free product and ethical work conditions. A B O U T U S .

SHIRTS: Developing collared shirts was a natural pro-gression to meet the changing needs of our customers. Firstly we released a basic oxford long sleeve style in three colours then followed up with our version of a classic polo shirt. Look out for more shirt options coming soon - we’re only getting started in this category.

JACKETS:   Fresh for 2015, our first jacket collection covers the outerwear spectrum. Ranging from a rip-stop windbreaker to a waxed cotton parka and a workwear inspired cotton jacket we’ve selected classic shapes that won’t date. As always we’ve kept them simple and basic with a focus on quality materials and timeless styling.        

KNITWEAR: We’re very excited to present our first range of knitwear for 2015. We’ve worked with high end suppliers to develop a 60/40 blend of wool and nylon for our crewneck knit jersey which is sure to be-come a wardrobe staple. Our beanie range is also available in a fine printable 100% acrylic knit and a rugged 100% cotton fisherman knit.

320 GSM French Terry Fleece. A high quality brushed loopback anti-pill fabric made of 75% cotton and 25% polyester. Mid-weight fleece with a soft feel that washes and wears very well.

150 GSM Cotton Nature Yarn. A unique 100% cotton fabric with three different colours of yarn knitted together to create a mottled look. The finish is soft and fine with a vintage feel.

220 GSM Combed Cotton. Premium weight combed 100% cotton. Hard-wearing and thick with the soft feel and fine weave of combed cotton.

130 GSM Viscose/Linen Blend. Our lightest fabric made from 85% viscose and 15% linen. Viscose has a silky appearance and feel but with similar breathability to cotton. Combined with the exceptional coolness and freshness of linen they create a very unique luxe fabric.

320 GSM 100% Cotton Canvas is an extremely heavy duty fabric. Often used for hard wearing garments such as shoes and bags due to its strength.

400 GSM 100% Polyester This heavyweight polyester fabric is highly durable. Its tear and water resistant quality makes it ideal for hardwearing bags

100% Cotton. A basic cotton drill with a softer feel and smooth finish. This popular fabric is also used on the front panel and peak of our polyester backed Trucker Cap.

100% Cotton Rip-stop. This premium rip-stop fabric has a 3-dimensional structure due to thicker threads being interwoven with thinner cloth in a crosshatch pattern, making the fabric highly durable.

80% Acrylic 20% Wool. Combining acrylic and wool in this blend gives a brushed finish and classic look to our snapback caps.

K N I T W E A R

100% Acrylic Knit Acrylic knit has good memory so it’s not likely to lose its shape quickly and is also very cost effective.

100% Cotton Fisherman Knit We used a plain ribbed cotton for our premium beanie, cotton being such a gentle fibre means irritation is minimised.

385 GSM 60% Wool 40% Nylon Knit This fine knit utilises premium Australian wool and nylon in a blend with a soft finish that is ideal for layering in those winter months.

The type of fabric you choose for your garment is not only important for the feel and look, it can make a big difference to the way it screenprints too. AS Colour specialises in fine combed cotton fabrics, which are designed specifically to screenprint better than basic carded or uncombed cot-ton. Combed cotton has more of the fibre removed in the knitting process, which means printing inks sit much more cleanly on the face of the shirt after printing. A better fabric can mean the dif-ference between an average screenprint and a great one. Combed cotton is also much better for new techniques like direct to garment (DTG) inkjet printing. Producing combed cotton garments is a more involved process and does cost more, but AS Colour is all about providing the very best blank

canvases for you to print your ideas on.

The Little Help Project is a t-shirt design competition and online retail store for emerging creatives. We see this initiative as a way of nurturing and growing t-shirt design culture along with giving something back to aspiring designers. 

The Little Help Project was inspired by the huge amount of untapped t-shirt design talent that exists in Australia and New Zealand. Back in 2009 we noticed that many of the most talented designers didn’t have the means to get their designs into print, so we came up with a way to give emerging talent a kick start.

To enter just check the schedule below then go to littlehelpproject.com, download the entry form and fill it with your awesomeness. Once we have all of the submissions our team will pick a top ten to be printed and sold in our retail and online stores. All ten designers will receive royalties of 12.5% for each t-shirt sold, with the winner receiving NZ$5000.

The Little Help Project Collab series is an extension of our annual t-shirt design contest, featuring prints from established names in the design world along with previous Little Help Project finalists. Look out for a mix of old favourites and fresh talent including some international names.

Our goal is to assemble an elite crew of amazing designers who will constantly be adding in fresh work. All designers receive royalties for each t-shirt sold so by purchasing a Collab Tee you’re helping support creative talent.

Re-labeling is a great way to add extra value to your product. It allows you to create the full branded package for your label by adding your logo, website details or product text to the neck tag of your garments.

The standard form of re-labeling is removing the neck tag of an in-stock product and replacing it with your custom label under the taped neck seam. We can use the existing care labels in our t-shirts for sizing, country of origin and care details. The ideal label size to cover our care label is 20mm wide by 60mm long and all labels must be supplied cut, not in a roll. We can also give you pricing on extra labeling specifications and more complicated requests.

Once your order is placed we will give you an estimate on when labeling will be ready. All re-labeling must be completed before orders are shipped out as we don’t re-label garments once they have been printed.

Once your labels have been made we can keep stock here so all you need to do is place an order and give us your instructions - it’s as simple as that.
