On March 15, the GSO presents the Eighth Annual Movie Scores Quiz for an evening of challenge and enjoyment! The GSO will perform selections from soundtracks of famous films set in Spain. A prize will be awarded to the audience member who correctly identifies the most film titles and composers. This performance will also feature Laura Ospina, Principal Cellist. On April 19, the GSO will perform Beethoven’s Leonora Overture No. 3, Mozart’s Overture to Don Giovanni and many more! This performance will feature violinist, Stirling Trent performing Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole. The orchestra will be led by guest conductor, Maestro Jesús Medina! The GSO’s audience can look forward to a musical fiesta as fiery as a Flamenco dance and as rich as a bottle of Rioja! Olé in the Brownlee Auditorium of the Granville Arts Center! All concerts begin at 8 pm. Single tickets are priced at $16.50, $26.50, and $36.50 and may be purchased by calling 972-926-0611. Group discounts are also available. Winner of 10 Academy Awards, this classic film narrates the love between Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler during the American Civil War. It's the history of a selfish woman who doesn't want to admit her feel-ings about the man she loves. Admission is free, however only the first 350 people will be admitted. Sodas, candy and popcorn will be available for $2 each and the proceeds will benefit the Garland Summer Musicals.

Garland Summer Musicals 2013 Auditions Garland Summer Musicals announces auditions for their 2013 Season which features the film and musical theatre classic Singin’ in the Rain, June 14-16 & June 21-23 and 9 to 5 The Musical, based on the Dolly Parton Blockbuster film, July 19-21 & July 26-28. Individual audition times will be on Saturday, April 6th 9:30 am-10 pm and Sunday from 7-10 pm. Dance call for both shows will be Sunday, April 7th 12:30-4:30 pm.
