Articulate Review WebsiteThis will be the first page you see upon entering the Articulate Review website.

As a reviewer, this is where you will go through a lesson, add comments, view comments made by others, and add replies.

The following slides will explain the how to set up an account for the Articulate Review website.

Account Setup GuideStep 1: Create an Articulate Account

• Use your navy.mil email address, if available.

• Password must be at least six characters.

• Organization should be NAVFAC.

• All fields are required.

As a reviewer, you must create an account to add comments or reply to comments. The account also allows you to manage email notifications.

1. Click the Sign In button in the top right corner of the browser.

2. In the pop-up, click ‘Create an Account’.

3. Fill in all the fields and click ‘Create an Account’.

A verification email will be sent to the email account you provided. You must click the link within the email before you can sign in.

Account Setup Guide Step 2: Verify your account email

• You will receive an email from “[email protected]” where the sender will show as “Articulate” in the email account you provided.

• You must click the link in the body of the email to verify your email address.

• The link will take you to the Articulate Review website.

Account Setup Guide Step 3: Signing In to Articulate ReviewTo review a lesson, you must Sign In to Articulate Review so your comments and replies can be identified.

1. Click the Sign In button in the top right corner of the browser.

2. Enter your account email address and your password. Then, click Sign In.

3. To indicate you are signed in, an icon will show in the top right corner (where the Sign In button was) with your initials.

Be sure to use your navy.mil email address, if available.Return to TOC 8

Account Setup GuideStep 4: Email Notification Settings

There are two settings that will affect how much email you receive.

Project Notifications

Select the level of email activity you’d like to receive for each lesson. You can choose to see only your activity, everyone’s activity, or none. The default setting is ‘Your Activity’.

H2 IT recommends selecting Mute Project here.

Notification Settings

You can choose to receive notification as soon as activity occurs, hourly, or once a day. This applies to all lessons you comment on.

Note, if the project notification for all lessons is set to Mute, you will not receive any emails. If you opt for Activity notifications, H2 IT recommends selecting Daily here.

• Collaborative project review; easily collaborate with all stakeholders in one place

• Reduces confusion and rework with in-context comments; screenshots accompany all comments

• Consolidated feedback; view comments and subsequent replies as threaded conversations

• Reviewers can create separate comments on a single slide, so you can raise, address, and resolve items one at a time

Invisible Buttons on NMCI Machines: Lesson Settings

If you are using an NMCI machine to access the Articulate Review website, you may not see all buttons available.

The three dots in the menu, indicating the lesson settings, may or may not be visible. However, you can still access the settings even though the button does not appear.

Drag your cursor slowly over the area just to the right of the Share button until the hand cursor appears. A small circle should appear with a tool-tip ‘More’. Click that circle to access the lesson settings drop-down.

Invisible Buttons on NMCI Machines: Resolve Button in Comments and RepliesIf you are using an NMCI machine to access the Articulate Review website, you may not see the Resolve/Reopen button in the top right corner of comments and replies.

The functionality is still accessible even though the button does not appear.

Drag your cursor slowly over the area near the right border of a comment or reply, in-line with the name of the comment owner until the hand cursor and a tool-tip ‘Resolve’ or ‘Reopen’ appears. Click to Resolve or Reopen a comment. A comment appears grayed out when it has been Resolved.

Invisible Buttons on NMCI Machines: Drop-down Arrow in Comments and RepliesIf you are using an NMCI machine to access the Articulate Review website, you may not see the drop-down arrow in the top right corner of comments and replies.

You can still access the Edit and Delete functions even though the button does not appear. (Note, the drop-down arrow will only appear in comments and replies you’ve created.)

Drag your cursor slowly over the area near the right border of a comment or reply, in-line with the name of the comment owner until the hand cursor appears. There is no tool-tip for this button. Click to show the drop-down menu containing Edit and Delete.

Articulate Review – Getting StartedTakes you out of the

review session and to the homepage

Displays the name of the files being reviewed, who created the file, and available versions

Lesson Settings

Account Settings

Choose between the Review area and the Feedback area.

This area allows you to navigate through the lesson as a learner and make comments or replies on any slide. Previous comments are only shown for the specific slide you are on.

Review Area Feedback AreaThis area shows all the comments and replies made in a lesson. The comments are grouped by slide. You can only reply to pre-existing comments here, not make new comments.

The lesson settings let you customize what you see for a given lesson. (The ‘three dots’ symbol may not appear on NMCI computers but is still clickable.)

3. Select the level of activity notification for this lesson

4. Exports existing comments to PDF or CSV file.

Account settings let you manage your account profile, adjust your notification frequency settings, or Sign Out.

Articulate Review AreaThe Review area is the default view of Articulate Review.

Some features to remember:

• When opening a lesson, the most current version will show by default.

• You do not need to sign in to review lessons; however, you must provide your navy.mil email address to enter comments or replies.

Add Comments1. Before making a new comment,

be sure you are on the same slide and layer the comment applies to.

2. In the top right corner, where it says ‘Add a comment’, type your comment.

3. You must press Enter to submit the comment.

When entering a comment, you MUST press the Enter key on your keyboard to save the comment.

The Importance of Pressing Enter to Save a CommentWhen you type a comment in Articulate Review, the program takes a snapshot of the current lesson screen as the Enter key is pressed. This provides an exact picture of what you are looking at when making the comment. (This does not apply when replying to a comment.)

When entering a comment, if you want to add a line break, press SHIFT + ENTER to go to the next line.

Edit Comments or Replies1. Click the drop-down arrow in the top right corner of the comment or reply (you must hover over the comment or

reply to see it).

2. Edit as desired.

3. Press Enter to accept the edit or Esc to cancel the edit.

Note that you are only allowed to edit your own comments and replies.

You must hover over your comment or reply to make the

drop-down arrow appear.

Delete Comments1. Click the drop-down arrow in the top right corner of the comment (you must hover over the comment or reply to

see it) and select Delete. All replies linked to your comment will be deleted as well.

2. A pop-up window will appear verifying you want to permanently delete your comment or reply. This cannot be undone.

Note that you are only allowed to delete your own comments or replies.

You must hover over your comment or reply to make the

drop-down arrow appear.

Resolve your own CommentsClick the check mark in the top right corner of the comment (you must be hovering in the comment to see it).

Depending on your view settings, the comment may disappear or become grayed out.

An active comment can be edited, deleted, replied to, or resolved.

A resolved comment cannot be edited, deleted, or replied to.

To reopen a comment, simply click the check mark.

Do NOT resolve someone else's comments.Resolved comments will not be addressed by H2 IT.

1. In the top right corner, select the three dots (…).2. A drop down window will appear showing either:

• In Articulate Review, resolved comments may be shown or hidden.

• This setting applies to both the Review and Feedback areas and does not affect anyone else’s view of the lesson.

• Showing resolved comments allows the reviewer to see what has already been addressed and to avoid duplicate comments.

• Remember:o Resolved comments cannot be

edited, deleted, or replied to.o Anyone can resolve any

comment.

Clicking this will show any resolved comments. They will appear grayed out.

Clicking this will hide any resolved comments in this lesson.

Note, this feature can seem counter-intuitive and may require some trial and error.

Reply to a Comment1. Type your reply in the ‘Add a

reply…’ box below the comment.

2. Beware!! You must press Enter to submit your reply. If you navigate to another slide within the lesson prior to press Enter, the text in the reply field will be lost.

3. You can edit or delete your own replies the same way you can edit or delete your own comments. You cannot edit or delete other users’ replies.

4. There is no limit to how many replies can be made on a comment.

5. The initial commenter will receive notification of any replies made on their comment.

When replying to a comment, you MUST press the Enter key on your keyboard to save the reply.

Articulate Feedback Area• All comments are listed in the

Feedback area of Articulate Review.

• Resolved comments may be shown or hidden.

• You can edit, delete, or reply to comments in both the Feedback and Review areas.

• You can click the image next to a comment to view an enlarged picture of that frame. Click the enlarged image to return to the Feedback area.

• The feedback defaults to sorting in slide order. While it can be changed to sort by most recent activity, this is not recommended.

Leaving and Returning to a LessonArticulate Review does not support bookmarking. Each time you enter a lesson, you will begin at the first slide; you can navigate to specific slides using the Menu.

Leaving a lesson will reset your place in the lesson. Here are some instances where your screen will refresh to the first slide of the lesson:

• Refreshing the page• Clicking the X button in the browser• Clicking the Backspace button when not in a comment• Navigating to a different version of the current lesson

When the course is delivered to TestTrack and NeL, the bookmarking functionality will be available.

Where did the Glossary go?In Articulate Review, the Glossary can only be seen when the cursor is inside the pop-up. This is a known glitch in Articulate Review and the final, published lesson will have the Glossary showing regardless of cursor placement.
