    HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE SEC ! "#A$ REA% W&TH RULE 'A (

    HRA is taxable under the head Salary. Under the Income Tax Act, certain exemptionsin respect of HRA is allowed under section 1!1"A# and is re$ulated by Rule %A. Theleast of the followin$ is exempt from Income Tax.

    6,00,000. The rent paid by him is Rs. 7,00,000 . Cal!late the amo!nt of ta"able Ho!se Rent

    Answer: The least of the following is e"empt from inome ta" o!t of the HRA Rs 6,00,000
