is a collection of photographs of 33 key projects from the Swiss construction sector over the past twenty years, which all have something to do with the theme of sustainable development. Swiss architecture and engineering enjoy an excellent reputation and high visibility not only on account of the quality of technical expertise and the inventiveness of their designers, but also on account of a far-reaching concern with sustaina-ble development.

The FRAME competition is open to the Visegrad Four, thus to the citizens and residents of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. It offers unlimited freedom to free art in the broad-est spectrum from realism through visual-art im-agination to conceptual creation. The promoters refrained from putting up various thematic topics in the competition. Awarded works are organized into one exhibit and displayed at several exhibi-tions during the year. Leica Gallery Prague will on an annual basis grant a special prize to one of the competitors allowing the winner to present his work on the gallery’s website and also receive a financial award.
When:11/01-10/02/2013
SVIT GalleryWhere: Štefánikova 43a(second floor, entrance from the courtyard), 150 00 Praha 5Opening Times: Wed—Sat 2 pm—7 pmWeb: www.svitpraha.orgWhat: Two Hands and a Head, Özlem Altin, Esther Kläs, Eva Koťátková
The exhibition Two Hands and a Head includes new works by Esther Kläs, Özlem Altin and Eva Koťátková; the works collaboratively arranged in the exhibition space invoke the impression of a fragmented, maybe incomplete body being reduced merely to its main communication apparatus – head and hands. The body as a ruin, represented here through traces and isolated abstract shapes referring to an organical origin, always points back to an initial completeness or describes a functionality which must remain unclear. It is not clear if the fragments have al-ready gained their own identity or independence or if they rather are still subordinate to a certain complete whole and are waiting to be reassem-bled again.

The painting versus photography dilemma nowa-days seems to have arrived at a ‘game over’

Imre Bukta’s thematic exhibition combines new installations and board paintings with the former, emblematic works of his oeuvre. The exhibited works focus on such issues as the transformation of traditions, the alienation of nature, the decay of built heritage, the crisis of moral values, and the often desperate, day to day struggles of socially marginalized people. Bukta’s artistic vehicles include well-definable, figurative motifs of painting and graphics, as well as applied objects: harvested crops, pumpkins, corn stalks, a tree stump, chain saws used for wood-cutting, a hog knife or a battered kitchen table.

The Error exhibition represents a turning point in the artistic career of Andrei Gamart, for this first solo show in the space of Zorzini Gallery turns his inner ascertains into assertions regarding the world: the artist turns his eyes away from his in-side realities towards the outside ones, changing the point of view from upon an interior universe towards the conjuring facts and transforming his artworks into an observation bastion from which he looks upon the world. In The Error solo show, the artist states the end of the world as we know it, leaving both his characters and his public to discover new horizons beyond the falling walls of this reality which dissipates and crumbles without knowing.
