ArtEast Open Studio TourOctober 15, 16 and 22, 23, 11am – 5pmExplore the local art scene on the 10th annual free, self-guided, driving tour of artist studios and work spaces. Organized and run by artist participants, the ArtEast Open Studio Tour gives visitors a relaxed and intimate behind the scenes peek at where, how and why these local artists create their work. Visitors will get a privileged viewing of some not previously exhibited and recent work in a friendly and informal setting.
All of the studios are open the first weekend. A selection of studios are open both weekends – check carefully when you’re making your list of who to visit!

ArtEast Public Art Project September – anticipated completionArtEast’s Fall-for-Art in public spaces looked to the Great Swamp for inspiration. Living in its watershed, and influenced by its natural beauty and vital environmental benefits, ArtEast artists chose a turtle for this years project. A temporary installation, a large fiberglass turtle, painted by local students and ArtEast artists, will be on display on the Pawling Village Green. Anticipated date for completion is early September. A plan is in progress for the turtle to be exhibited in each town with participating artists.
