WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR AEP?
Competent in making and presenting art
Keen interest and willingness to commit to four years of
in-depth study in Art
Pass AEP Selection Exercise, comprising the following: Draw from life/imagination Create original object(s)/image(s) using given materials Present a Portfolio comprising a range of artworks you have
done
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR MEP?
Possess a good ear
Interested to learn about different musical traditions (e.g.
Asian, Classical, Jazz, Popular)
Competent in performing and/or creating music
Keen interest and willingness to commit to four years of
in-depth study in Music
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR MEP? Pass MEP Selection Exercise, comprising the following:
• Listening Test• Practical Audition (2 contrasting pieces on an
instrument/voice in any style of a total duration of 5 min)• Aural Test• Interview (Applicants who have composed music could bring
along their scores/recordings for their interview. Please note that this is not a mandatory requirement.)
At the point of application, students should be able to perform or improvise competently on one musical instrument
ARE THESE PROGRAMMES FOR YOU?
ConsiderationsExemption from Lower Sec D&T and FCE
Not required to take Design and Technology (D&T) and Food and Consumer Education (FCE) at the Lower Secondary level. Hence, AEP/MEP students would not be eligible to take D&T and FCE at the upper secondary level.
Higher Art/Music Grade in lieu of Humanities Grade Students who offer the O-Level Higher Art/Music will be able to use their
Higher Art/Music grade in lieu of a Humanities subject to gain admission into a JC/CI.

ConsiderationsTime Management and Commitment
Commitment to the scheduled lesson timings and enrichment activities, and ability to cope with extended lessons, additional projects and assignments.
Distance Travel to the centres for lessons one afternoon a week.
