Art for Inspiration Special Announcement I just wanted to let you know that I will be selling NEW paintings similar to the
advent paintings last year. Ascension Press has produced a second advent series
following the success of last year's series on Mary. This time the focus is on

Nativity Support Groups The support groups will meet on Thursday 11-7-2019 at 7:00 PM at Nativity
Catholic Church on Buckner Lane in Thompson Station. These groups are open to
residents of Williamson County.
If any of your congregation members are in need of such help, they are welcome.
These are not faith-based groups.

OPEN HOUSE - Pope John Paul II High School - November 3rd Pope John Paul II High School invites prospective students and their families to
join us for our annual OPEN HOUSE on Sunday, November 3rd at 2:00PM. This
special day provides an opportunity to explore all facets of our school: our
outstanding academic curriculum, campus ministry, athletic programs, and a wide
variety of co-curricular activities. Students and parents are able to meet with
faculty, administration, and coaches, while touring our school. Come see what
“Faith Leads Us Beyond Ourselves” means to our students.

SMS Parishioner opening Amish furniture store in January
Gary and Tomi O'Reilly moved to Nashville last March to be closer to three
of their grandchildren. Leaving their parish of 35 years in Northern Illinois was
difficult, and they were so excited to find a welcoming new community at SMS.
The O'Reilly's grandson is in 6th grade at SMS, and their granddaughters are
a freshman and junior at Father Ryan High School.
Gary O’Reilly has been in the furniture business in Illinois since 1972 and
sold his successful store there last year to make the move to Nashville.
Gary is thrilled to be opening a new Amish furniture store in Bellevue in
January 2020.
O’Reilly’s Amish Furniture, located at 8223 Highway 100 in Bellevue, is a
4,800 square-foot retail store specializing in American-made, hand-crafted Amish
furniture.
O’Reilly’s will offer a complete line of home furnishings from over thirty
Amish companies. Customers can customize bedroom, dining room and dinette
sets; home office, entertainment and occasional pieces; and even
upholstery. Everything O'Reilly's will sell is made in America.

Graceworks Volunteer Opportunities All opportunities are on our GraceWorks Ministries website
(https://www.graceworksministries.net/) except the Thanksgiving Food Pantries.
We know they will be on November 23rd , but the sign up link has not been posted
yet. One will be in Fairview, Spring Hill, Franklin and I do not have the
4th location yet.

Digital Untangling Event, Nov. 11
Pete Dunlap, the founder of Digital Untangling and a leading voice for more
humane technology, will be the speaker for a special presentation at Father Ryan

Mulier Care Position Open
Mulier Care, the Pregnancy Help Center, is in need of a Part Time nurse
manager. This is a paid position, 20 hours/week with a very flexible schedule and

CATHOLIC BUSINESS LEAGUE NOVEMBER MEETING
Dr. Jose Gonzalez, Assistant Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at
Belmont's College of Business Administration will be the Catholic Business
League's guest speaker on Thursday, November 14. Join us at 7:30am in The
Fleming Center following Mass at 7:00am. All are welcome.
Father Ryan's Veterans Breakfast Father Ryan is hosting its 15th Annual Veterans Breakfast on Friday, November 8,
2019 in the Father Ryan Dining Hall. Veterans from the Father Ryan family are
invited to this free event, featuring Capt. Patrick Marchetti of the Father Ryan
Class of 2009 and West Point graduate. Buffet breakfast is at 7:00am. RSVP

Father Ryan Placement Test, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7
The Placement Test for current 8th graders applying for admission to Father Ryan
for next fall will be offered on Saturday, November 2 and Saturday, December

Fall Play, Nov. 7-9
Join the Purple Masque Players in the Center for the Arts for a spooky bit of
theater right after Halloween! The Players will be performing Night Chills, a
collection of Edgar Allan Poe tales adapted for the stage. All ages are welcome and
tickets may be purchased at the door. The play runs at 7:00pm nightly from

The Lodge Needs Volunteers If your organization ever faces the need to assist your students or community with
job placement. We are wanting to work with local churches and schools to not only
fill our needs but be a provider for any volunteer hours that may be
needed. Currently we have a need in our dining services department for servers if

Dominican Dads has had a great start so far this year! All Dads, SCA, Overbrook,
or otherwise, are welcome. Our meetings are on Fridays at 6 am in the chapel at St.

FILL OUR HEARTS – SPEAKER SERIES
Fill Our Hearts is an informal speaker series exploring the mysteries of our
Catholic faith. The theme this year is The Holy Spirit, Our Greatest Friend. This
series is held in the White House on the Dominican Campus at 8:30 am. The dates,

Our Lady Prayer Breakfast
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church will host a Prayer Breakfast on November
9th, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the St. Joseph Hall. The International acclaimed musician
and speaker TATIANA CAMERON will be presenting Psalm 30:2 “HEAL
DEEPER, LOVE MORE”. A Breakfast, Praise and worship and healing prayer
will be offered for all women. Cost is $25.00. We anticipate a big crowd and hope
that you will reserve a table of 8 from your parish.
The 2019 Turkey Trot benefiting GraceWorks will take place Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28,
at 7:45 a.m. at our NEW LOCATION – CoolSprings Galleria.
The largest 5K Run/Walk in Middle Tennessee and a certified 10K Course is followed by the
Kids (ages 9 and under) 1K Turkey Chase at 9 a.m.
Long-sleeve t-shirts are guaranteed to the first 3,000 registered 5K/10K runners and the first 200
to register for the Kids 1K Turkey Chase.
