Art Against Violence Art Against Violence is a city—wide art show and contest sponsored by theUniversity of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center’s ViolencePrevention Program. Through art, we hope to be inspirational in Baltimore City inreducing hostile and risk taking behaviors that lead to violent and traumatic injury.We will be accepting submissions of visual art pieces through April 1st for ourgallery show and award ceremony on April 6th, 2016. The gallery show will openat 4 pm and our awards ceremony will be at 6:30 pm with light refreshments.
The Artwork Submissions will be accepted from any enrolled student at any Baltimore City
School
Any medium of visual art is acceptable
The theme of the event is Art Against Violence but any artwork inspired bythis theme is acceptable
Members of the Violence Prevention Program are available to pick up submit-ted work or give a brief presentation to students interested in participating
Winners will be decided by popular vote
The Show All submissions will be displayed at the Art Against Violence 2016 Gallery

April 6th, 2016, 4 pm—8 pm with award ceremony at 6:30 pm
