The artist Katy Broomfield who specialises in textiles came in to share her knowledge and teach the students a variety of ways they could develop their work. They were introduced to artists such as Rex Ray and Rebecca Earley. The day was full of colour, texture and paern; I can't wait to see how they develop their ideas. The 3D students will be taking their ideas into jewellery, ceramics, fashion and upholstery and the artists into print, textiles and painting. Mrs Smith "The heatpress workshop on Thursday was very interesting and useful for our projects in 3D Design. Through layering paerned pieces of paper and organic objects such as leaves we could explore the relation- ships between different colours and textures creating gorgeous final pieces. It was a fascinating workshop as we all learnt a new way of presenting and developing our work." Y10 Rosemary

Art & 3D workshop

On Tuesday morning the Art & 3D GCSE and A level students had a fantastic day learning how to use

our new Heat Press. The artist Katy Broomfield who specialises in textiles came in to share her

knowledge and teach the students a variety of ways they could develop their work. They were

introduced to artists such as Rex Ray and Rebecca Earley. The day was full of colour, texture and pattern;

I can't wait to see how they develop their ideas. The 3D students will be taking their ideas into jewellery,

ceramics, fashion and upholstery and the artists into print, textiles and painting.

Mrs Smith

"The heatpress workshop on Thursday was very interesting and useful for our projects in 3D Design.

Through layering patterned pieces of paper and organic objects such as leaves we could explore the relation-

ships between different colours and textures creating gorgeous final pieces. It was a fascinating workshop as

we all learnt a new way of presenting and developing our work." Y10 Rosemary
