*Instantaneously recognizable.*Memorable.*Can be illustrative in nature, either concrete or abstract.
Iconic/Symbolic Logos - Icons and symbols are compelling yet uncomplicated images that are emblematic of a particular company or product. They use imagery that conveys a literal or abstract representation of your organization. Christo & Jeanne Claude, The Gates “The Gates, Project for Central Park, New York City,” by husband-and-wife collaborators
Christo and Jeanne-Claude, is a study of a large-scale installation project the couple envisioned. Known for enormous, ambitious environmental works, Christo created “The Gates” in Central Park with 7,500 saffron-hued fabric-draped, 16-feet tall gateways traversing 23 miles of park walkways. “The Gates” represent openings created in the park’s stone wall originally intended for steel-gate installation. This preparatory drawing of “The Gates,” which is a compelling artwork in its own right, is displayed in New York’s Guggenheim Museum.
Bellwork 1) This genre of art is called “Environmental Art.”
In your own words define environmental art.2) Open response.
