We have carefully planned our winery and vineyard to work with natural systems. In the vineyard, our focus is on organic farming. Our goal is to maintain a living soil through compost and cover crops that encourages benecial microbes, insects, and fungi and provides ideal nutrients for the vines. is ecosystem naturally deters pests by encouraging diversity of species. We will not use chemical herbicides or pesticides – we farm the way grapes were farmed prior to 1940 – organically. Great wine begins with great grapes!

Our Timber Frame winery is built into the hillside, which allows us to take full advantage of geothermal cooling year round. e building is of airtight construction using insulation integrated panels for all exterior walls. We have prioritized the use and reuse of renewable durable materials utilizing reclaimed timbers, bamboo, Vermont slate and repurposed xtures like our radiators for heating and lighting xtures.

We reduce energy use by working with the weather to cold stabilize our wines, moving them outside during winter. is method is simple, eective, and environmentally friendly. We use natural unbleached (dark) cork. Cork is 100% biodegradable and cork trees help to reduce carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. Our wine bottles are composed of light-weight glass, reducing the energy required to produce and transport them. Our foils are made from Tin or Aluminum and are 100% recyclable.

Arrowhead Spring Vineyards has a focus on making the highest quality barrel aged wines from our estate vineyard and locally grown grapes. Specializing in wines that pair well with food, particularly Syrah and Meritage blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec

and Merlot, our wine list includes Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer and Ice Wine. Our wines are craed by hand in small lots with an obsessive focus on quality. e discipline and heart we put into our vineyard pours out in our wine.

Duncan Ross, wine-maker at Arrowhead Spring Vineyards, had a vision: world class wine made from locally grown vinifera grapes. His obsession with quality is reected in the wines. e vineyards slope from North-West to South-East, drenching the vines in warm aernoon sun. e winery perched high on the escarpment oers spectacular sunset views and panoramas of pastoral Niagara County – a literal “feast” for the eyes while sipping the hand-craed wine is pure pleasure for the palate.

Take a guided tour of our vineyard and learn about our organic growing methods. Next, enter the cool, underground barrel room and taste our wines as they are developing in our barrels. Learn about blending techniques and oak aging. Finish with a taste of our completed wines with artisan cheese, fruit and bread in our scenic tasting room. Leave with a keepsake glass and a wonderful memory of an enjoyable wine experience!
