Dear Friend,
2016 was an important milestone year for the Lycée Français de Chicago, as we celebrated the success of our first year at our new state of the art school in the Ravenswood/Lincoln Square neighborhood. Our school has been received with overwhelming support and excitement from local business owners and residents as they have welcomed us into our new community.
The Lycée’s largest fundraising event is the Soirée, a gala dinner with silent and live auctions. It is a spectacular event that families from the school, and their guests from the Chicago and the international community, look forward to each year. We hope you will consider being a part of this year’s event. Last year’s Soirée welcomed over 450 guests, and raised $300 000 for our school. This year we expect to replicate the success with our annual Soirée taking place on April 1, 2017 at The Four Seasons Chicago Hotel with the theme, Around the World in 80 Days.

Benefits of your participation Our event offers a unique opportunity for exposure within our Lycée community, which includes several hundred guests from Chicago’s vibrant international community: CEOs of top Chicago firms, Consular representatives and entrepreneurs. Prestigious companies who have generously contributed auction items in the past include: Tesla, Trunk Club, Hyatt Hotels, Glamour Magazine, BMW, and Piper Heidsieck to name a few.

Your support is crucial to the success of the Lycée and will directly contribute to the development of our academic programs, which provide students from Chicago and around the world with a rigorous, multilingual education that prepares them to be global citizens. All proceeds from the Soirée go towards funding need-based student scholarships, enrichment of facilities, and academic development. It is the generous support of individuals and businesses like yours is the key to the continued success of our unique school.

The Lycée Français de Chicago is a private, not-for-profit international school educating children from pre-kindergarten (age 3) through 12th grade. The Lycée serves the international and local communities by providing a rigorous dual-language curriculum grounded in the French educational system, complemented by a strong American program.
