Features of the Aro-Capsule® FP

Classification

The biodegradable microcapsule, Aro-Capsule® FP Series (Fruit Peel Capsule), which is a functional material for cosmetics and household supplies, is a functional material that has been developed to meet the increasing demand for eco-friendly materials. The wall material of existing microcapsule is made up of plastic polymers, whereas this ingredient is made up of fibers and sugars based on “Fruit Peel Mimetic Technology.” They are incorporated into the capsule wall material through the polymerization of natural substances such as cellulose, sorbitol, and alginate, which are the main ingredients of fruit peel. It is safe for the skin and stably preserves the core materials within the product. After being used, it becomes food for microorganisms in nature and decomposes into CO2, H2O, and biomass, making it a safe, eco-friendly functional ingredient without any concerns regarding microplastics.

The Aro-Capsule® FP can stabilize unstable functional materials such as volatilization, reactions with other substances(precipitation),deterioration and oxidation and powders that are difficult to use.They provide long-lasting effects and maximum performance by rubbing or touch when you need.

The Aro-Capsule® FP Series is subdivided into S, G, and V grades according to application. All grades are pressure-sensitive microcapsule that are not irritating to the skin and have over 60% biodegradability. Each grade has been optimized to demonstrate the ultimate performance through skin-feeling, hair/fiber adhesion, capsule size and more according to the purpose of use.

Aro-Capsule® FP S

The Aro-Capsule® FP S grade has been designed for use on leave-on type cosmetics. Various cosmetic ingredients such as functional ingredients that are not easily dissolved or susceptible to precipitation including oils or ceramide are encapsulated and can easily be applied into the formula. It has an excellent skin-feeling and the core materials inside the capsule are effectively delivered into the skin as they break open when rubbed onto the skin.

Aro-Capsule® FP G (GH, GF)

The Aro-Capsule® FP G grade has excellent adhesion on hair, fiber, and paper. Fragrance and functional oils are encapsulated to maximize the long-lasting effects of the core materials in hair care/personal care including shampoos, hair treatment, and body washes(cleansers) and household items such as fabric softeners and detergents.

Aro-Capsule® FP V

The Aro-Capsule® FP V grade is a visible capsule with a size of 100–200㎛ for cosmetics. FP V grade capsule have very thin wall(nanosize) compared to general visible capsule, so it can contain core material as efficiently as possible.

Aro-Capsule® FP GF Grade

The Aro-Capsule® FP S is a material developed for cosmetics that releases ingredients when rubbed on the skin. It is a functional material for cosmetics with excellent skin-feeling and no skin irritation. Various functional oils that are vulnerable against oxidation or deterioration can be applied stably and in particular, by encapsulating poorly soluble powders that only dissolve in particular solvents, any desired amount can be applied within a cosmetic formula without side effects such as precipitation or crystallization.

The Aro-Capsule® FP GH is a functional material that offers long-lasting effects by appropriatelycontrolling the charge characteristics of the capsule surface and construction and adhering onto the skin or hair even in wash-off environments. In terms of the adhering characteristics of the Aro-Capsule® FP GH in a wash-off environment, the fragrance can be maintained for long periods of time when the encapsulated fragrance is applied to personal care products including hair care products such as shampoo, hair treatment and body care products such as body washes(cleansers).

Ceramide is an excellent cosmetic moisturizer but it has limitations as it is difficult to dissolve. After dissolving, it becomes unstable due to precipitation or crystallization within the formula and therefore it is difficult to use. But with the ceramide capsule, it is stable within a formula and has no limit to the amount of application.

BEMT is an excellent sunblock material that is used in cosmetics but dissolution is difficult, precipitation occurs within the formula and it causes irritation on the skin. By processing it into a BEMT capsule, however, it becomes stable within the formula, relieves skin irritation and improves the skin-feeling.

The Aro-Capsule® FP GF was developed by our company in 1999 and has been widely used in household supplies such as fabric softeners by our domestic/international clients for approximately 20 years. It is an upgraded, biodegradable capsule that contains our company’s exclusive know-how. The Aro-Capsule® FP GH, which has hydrophilic properties, works together with the fabric softener and has excellent adhesion to all types of fibers. The 5–15㎛-sized capsule exists inside complex fiber compositions for long periods of time and has excellent releasing abilities even at low pressure, so it is an excellent fragrance reinforcing agent for softeners and detergents.

Compared to existing visible capsules, the capsule shell is considerably thin, so the amount of the core material that can be encapsulated in each capsule is very large.

The Aro-Capsule® HM/HU is a best-seller microcapsule that has widely been used domestically/internationally since our company began mass development for the first time in Korea in 1999. The Aro-Capsule® HM/HU has been used in domestic/international fabric softeners for over 20 years and can be used for all non-cosmetics such as printing, textile processing(laundry resistance), and others.
