2. MISSION. UTSA Army ROTC Roadrunner Battalion will review the US Army Mentorship Program on 301430AUG2018 at UTSA Main Campus, McKinney Humanities Building (MH), room 2.01.12 in order to help build competence, leadership skills, self-awareness, and morale.

3. EXECUTION.

a. Commander’s Intent. To provide Roadrunner Battalion tools necessary for mentors and mentees to improve their leadership, interpersonal, and technical skills as well as achieve personal and professional objectives.

b. Purpose. To teach the Roadrunner Battalion the policies and procedures in the UTSA Army Mentorship Program.

c. End State. Cadets will have the knowledge and references needed to be mentors or mentees for UTSA Army ROTC.

d. Concept of Operations. The Roadrunner Battalion will review the Unit’s Mentorship Program, as well as receive a lecture from cadre on their experiences with mentoring in the U.S. Army in a classroom setting. This operation will be conducted in four phases:

(1) Phase I: This phase begins with a site recon and the distribution of the Mentorship Selection Data Sheet (MSDS) and ends when we train the trainer.

(2) Phase II: This phase begins when we trained the trainer and slide deck completion, consists of a rehearsal and ends at the set up of the event.

(3) Phase III: This phase beings when we complete set up of the event, consists of execution and ends when the event is complete, classroom is cleaned, and everyone is dismissed.

e. Scheme of Movement and Maneuver.

(1) Phase I: OIC (CDT Prior) and NCOIC (CDT Lane, Alexus) will go to McKinney Humanities Building (MH), room 2.01.12 on 200800AUG2018 to conduct the recon to verify the classroom for the event. CDT Prior and CDT Lane will finalize the MSDS and send to Cadre Supervisor for Approval. Upon approval, CDT Lane will send the MSDS to S1 to distribute through the class leaders NLT 211600AUG2018. This phase will end when we begin the slide training to NCOIC, CDT Lane.

(2) Phase II: OIC will train NCOIC on the mentorship training slides by 22AUG2018. Slides will be completed and approved by Cadre Supervisor 27AUG2018 and rehearsal with key leadership will be conducted and completed 28AUG2018. This phase will end when all key personnel arrive at the location 301330AUG2018.

(3) Phase III: This phase will begin when all key personnel arrive for setting up the event. Unit will gather accountability NLT 301430AUG2018 the event will begin. The event will consist of multiple events covering the mentorship guidelines of the battalion. Please see Coordinating Instructions for details regarding the timeline. Upon completion of the lab the NCOIC will then give direction on how to clean the classroom. The final phase will end when everyone is dismissed by 301630AUG2018.

f. Unit Mission Support

(1) HHD

(a) Provide the OIC from Academics and Blue Cards to each give a 10-minute brief on how the mentorship program supports their program.

(2) ACO, BCO.

(a) Provide two Cadets in each company on/orders at the event location to support/assist with lab.

g. Staff Mission Support.

(1) S1.

(a) Distribute the MSDS to the battalion via email NLT 211600AUG2018

(2) S6.

(a) Provide one S-6 staff member o/o to prepare slideshow and mic at the time of the event.

c. Health Service Support System.

(1) Emergencies. Medical emergencies are directed immediately to OIC and the ROTC Cadre for assessment. If required, notify on-campus police for all emergencies, medical or non-medical at 210-458-0911 or 911. They will activate emergency medical service.

(2) Non-Emergencies. Contracted Cadets are transported by Cadre vis GSA vehicle to San Antonio Medical Center located within Ft. Sam Houston; phone #: 210-916-4141. Non-contracted Cadets are transported to the UTSA Health Services Center (RWC 1.500) Phone #: 210-458-4142
