TAL WORKSHOP (28 APRIL 2018) A workshop on Technology Aided

Learning(TAL) was conducted by Aakash

Darekar for the teaching staff of the

school. A ‘hands on learning ‘

experience was given to all present .

Minute details related to the smart

board was dealt with by the resource

person and all doubts of the teachers

with respect to handling of Smart Boards were cleared.

LIFE SKILLS DEMO (4 May 2018)

Life skills has become an integral part of school

curriculum . Besides teaching of skills through innovative

activities in the classrooms , the school has also

implemented an Online Life Skill Program through Prep

My Skills . A demo was given by Mrs Urvashi Shenoy to

students of classes VI to X on 4 May 2018 to access the

program online and attempt activities from comfort of

their homes as well to test their skills to reinforce learning

at school. Students attempt the activities and report generated can be checked by the

teachers.

An Open House was organized on

welcome the parents and the

children to the new academic

session .Parents were apprised

with the new policies of the

school with effect from the new

academic session. It was a nice

platform for the parents to meet their ward’s class teacher and

other subject teachers .


AWES DAY CELEBRATIONS

AWES day was celebrated in school with great enthusiasm . The event started with the lighting of

lamp by the Principal followed by Sarsawati Vandana .A mime based on patriotism was also

presented .It also highlighted the values imbibed by AWES and that touched the hearts of one and

all present on the occasion. The Principal addressed the staff & students and motivated them to

work towards achieving KRAs & goals of AWES.

THE TENACIOUS TENTHIES(2017-18) The Class X CBSE results were declared

on 29th May 2018. Seventy two students

appeared for the board exam & the

school achieved 100% results. Aditya

Lawand topped the school by scoring

91.2%,Kumari Aanchal bagged the

second position (91%) followed by

Vasudev Chilgar who scored 90% .

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY Yoga has become an integral part of one’s life and with today’s hectic life. Yoga Day

was celebrated on 21st June 2018 with lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Students &

teachers participated in the Yoga sessions conducted by Ms. Veena Nair & Anil Ukande ,

PET.Various asanas were performed like Suramyanamaskar,Shavasan,Tadasan,

Vrikshasan, Bhujangasan, Ardhabraasana, Makarasan, Naukasan, Veerbhadrasan,

Shalabhasan, Dhanurasan, Chakrasan & breathing exercises for relaxation of both

body and the mind. The best part was that the yoga trainers were simultaneously

explaining why & how these asanas were helpful in keeping healthy. It was indeed a

very motivating session & teachers and students were full of positive energy.

The school reopened for the staff and the students of class IX and X on 18 June 18. The

teachers began the day with yoga classes conducted by PET’s Veena Nair and Anil

Ukande.”Well begun is half done” was rightly proved at the APS campus as there was

positivity and energy around because of such wonderful team building activities at the start

of the day.

Resource persons from outside conducted various workshops on Motivation, Leadership

skills, Goal Setting, POCSO Act and team building .Our very own staff members conducted in

house training for basic computer literacy ,class room management communication skills,

handling learning disability among students and boosting self confidence. NCF and RTE were

also important subject sfor the workshops. The six day in service training was beneficial to

each and every staff member and they came out as better individuals both on the personal

and professional front.
