Army National Guard and Army Reserve Soldiers and their Families are eligible when on continuous active duty under Title 10 orders for at least 30 consecutive days. Assistance is given in the form of no-interest loans, grants, or a combination thereof based on financial circumstances. Emergency food assistance is available to assist Soldiers, retirees and their Family members who are experiencing temporary financial hardship and are unable to purchase food.

EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Army Emergency Relief (AER) provides financial

assistance to Soldiers – active and retired and

their Families, surviving spouses and orphans

who are experiencing a financial hardship.

Army National Guard and Army Reserve

Soldiers and their Families are eligible when on

FINANCIAL READINESS PROGRAM (FRP)

The Financial Readiness Program (FRP) offers

education, counseling and support services to assist

active and retired Soldiers, their Families, and DA

civilians with their fi nancial affairs. FRP services are

geared toward building fi nancial resiliency, living

within means, and fi nancial planning for the future.

Mission: To reduce indebtedness, prevent fi nancial vulnerability, increase knowledge on personal fi nance, and to build wealth and fi nancial resiliency through an array of personal fi nance classes and one on one counseling.

Vision: A community of Soldiers and Families who are fi nancially stable, resilient, living within their means, and building wealth for their future.

Services Include:

• Classes/Seminars in Personal Financial Readiness & Consumer Affairs

• Individual fi nancial counseling

• Pre-screening and counseling for Soldiers who qualify for the Family Subsistence Supplemental Allowance (FSSA)

• Debt Liquidation assistance

• Consumer Advocacy

• Emergency Financial Assistance (only

available to active/retired military and their ID card

Family members)

• Credit Report reviews

• Couples and Individual fi nancial counseling

We welcome Family members and DA Civilians to attend all of our classes/seminars.

An Accredited Financial Counselor is available to help:

• Establish budgets and spending plans

• Work with creditors on payment plans

• Provide credit, tax, consumer, insurance and other information

• Assist with consumer complaints

• Provide information on state and federal consumer laws
