A.R.M.O.R. is REI’s signature, web-based software suite. It provides automated video retrieval, surveillance equipment and vehicle health checks, historical and live route data, as well as critical driver information. Utilizing a Wi-Fi equipped DVR, commercial access points and/or a cellular router, video and metadata is transferred to a server when vehicles are started, returned to the lot or at preconfigured times. Flexible scheduling prioritizes downloads to obtain the most critical information right away. Layered access privileges control who has access to the different modules to increase security and provide cost savings.

REI’s automated stop-arm solution improves student and community safety by deterring and monitoring potential violators. The package includes motion-activated high definition, day/night sensor cameras that are optimized for viewing while compensating for vehicle headlights. Clear images of the front and rear license plates are the result. The violation video is recorded on your REI DVR, flagged on A.R.M.O.R. - StopArm and transmitted automatically via a cellular 3G/4G or Wi-Fi network for review, allowing a citation to be issued if warranted. STEP 1

REI’s motion-activated, high definition cameras are installed on your bus in key locations to capture up to 4 lanes of traffic.

STEP 2

When the stop arm is extended, the automated system is able to sense the motion of a vehicle passing illegally.

STEP 3

REI’s cameras capture video of the vehicle in violation, including the front and rear license plates of the violator. Also captured is video of the stop arm extended and the correlating GPS location.

STEP 4

The incident is recorded on your REI DVR and flagged for easy search and identification. It is then submitted automatically via a cellular 3G/4G or Wi-Fi network.
