ON THE COVER: December was full of fun for the Social 60+ Cafe. From great food and games to gifts and dancing, there was a lot of holiday celebration. This photo features Ms. Fresia solo dancing during the Mariachi performance. Many others joined the dance soon after. Love to Dance? Join us for Social Dance Night on Wednesday, January 23 at 7pm. There will be a dance demonstration followed by open dancing and music by DJ Jeff-Carr.

No Answer? If you’re calling in to register for a program, there is an occasional chance you will not get a live person. Luckily, Arlington Mill Senior Center is diligent about checking voice mail! Please leave your name, phone number, and the program in which you are interested in registering for. If you prefer a call back, you may also specify. Thanks for your continued support!

The Arlington Mill Senior Advisory Committee, in conjunction with participants from the Social 60+ Cafe and other dedicated volunteers, are hard at work developing a new community gar-den space at the Community Center. The plan is to develop a container garden to beautify the otherwise concrete courtyard space on the Plaza Level of Arlington Mill Community Center. The committee is looking for interested individuals to assist with the development and/or maintenance of the garden. If you are interested, please call the main center line at 703-228-7369 to get involved!

Love movies? Arlington Mill is looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist with its vibrant Movies & Critics program. Volunteers would assist in choosing movies, leading critical discussions, and writing a review to submit to this publication. If interested, please call Nick at 703-228-7369.

There are so many great places to walk around Arlington Mill Senior Center, join a group of like-minded seniors to explore the great areas. Arlington Mill is adding a new walking group known as the ‘Arlington Mill Trekkers’ The group will meet every Thurs-day at 9am in the Arlington Mill Plaza, then walk from there to various locations in and around the neighborhood. For more in-formation please call ahead: 703-228-7369.
