Exterior Design Concept A

This design concept features an entrance with columns and arches as seen in the original Collomb House building. The auditorium wing (left) and the classroom wing (right) both represent a more traditional aesthetic. The glass wall and curved roofline seen beyond the forecourt and columns contain the Discourse Lab, and give balance to the two wings which are of different heights. The majority of the facade is brick, with different window styles on either side.

Exterior Design Concept B
This design concept features a contemporary facade with tall columns. Curved surfaces draw attention to the canopied entrance and highlights the auditorium (left) and Discourse Lab (above the entrance, as in Option A). A variety of exterior materials are used, primarily brick, with possible accents of wood, masonry or stone. The classroom wing (right) features shallow ‘pop-out’ spaces, creating small alcoves for collaborative spaces within the classrooms. Program areas (chorus, makerspace) are highlighted on each corner.

Exterior Design Concept C
The entrance of this contemporary design is set between the auditorium (left) and the Discourse Lab (above). A curved, dual layer canopy highlights the entry. The auditorium wing is more modern, while the classroom wing (right) presents a more traditional look. Traditional brick is used with accents of other materials, possibly wood, masonry, or stone, that highlight program areas at the corners (chorus, makerspace) and at the entry.
