The Dodgers will unveil and dedicate the brand new Jackie Robinson statue, which will be the first-ever statue in Dodger Stadium history. The statue will be housed outside the left field reserve level and a ceremony will take place at 3:00 p.m. today featuring the Robinson family (Rachel, Sharon and David), Dodger owner Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Dodger President and CEO Stan Kasten and Hall of Famer Frank Robinson. The ceremony will be emceed by Kevin Frazier and is expected to also be attended by Sandy Koufax, Vin Scully, Don Newcombe and Jaime Jarrin. The entire ceremony will be broadcasted live on SportsNet LA, AM 570 LA Sports and Dodgers.com. To allow more fans to join in Jackie Robinson Day festivities and enjoy the statue on the day of its unveiling, the team has made a select number of lower priced tickets available for purchase for tonight’s game. MAEKEN MADNESS: Right-hander Kenta Maeda will take the mound for the Dodgers in his third start of the season, following his win over the Rockies on Sunday, when he allowed four runs on five hits in 5.0 innings and recorded five strikeouts against one walk. Maeda saw success against the Diamondbacks in his first year in the big leagues, going 3-1 with a 2.97 ERA (11 ER/33.1 IP) in six starts, including a 1-0 record with a 1.45 ERA (3 ER/18.2 IP) in three starts against the Snakes at Dodger Stadium. Last year, he limited Arizona hitters to a .224 average (28-for-125) with 34 strikeouts against seven walks and allowed just one home run in 33.1 innings. The first 12,000 ticketed kids, 14 and under, will receive a Kenta Maeda Fathead giveaway tomorrow afternoon, presented by Sunrun. BRINGING BACK THE HEAT: Prior to last night’s contest, the Dodgers reinstated right-handed reliever Pedro Báez from the 10-day disabled list (right wrist contusion) and optioned right-hander Josh Fields to Triple-A OKC. Báez made his 2017 debut yesterday, tossing 0.2 scoreless innings of relief with one strikeout. The Dodger bullpen lowered its ERA to a National League best 1.31 ERA (5 ER/34.1 IP), and only trail the Yankees (0.82) for the second best mark in the big leagues. The Dodger bullpen also leads the NL with a 0.87 combined WHIP and a 5.13 strikeout-to-walk ratio, striking out 41 (T-5 th NL) against just eight walks. The bullpen has limited opponents to a .177 batting average (22-for-124), which ranks third in the NL. The Dodgers pitching staff overall has posted a Major League-best 1.03 WHIP, while ranking among the top teams in the NL with a 2.63 ERA (28 ER/95.2 IP, 2 nd ) and a .210 opponents’ batting average (2 nd ), while striking out 99 through 11 games. game homestand with a 7-1 victory over the NL West leading

Diamondbacks last night, improving to 4-1 at home to start

the 2017 season. Following the four-game set against the D-

backs (1-0), the Dodgers will take on the Rockies for a short

two-game series before going back on the road for their

With the win last night, Los Angeles improved to 41-17

against Arizona since the start of the 2014 season and,

according to Stats LLC., is the second highest win total
