About 75 of them live in the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas in Arizona and Utah. • They are the largest land bird in North America, with a wingspan of 9 ½ feet. • They weigh about 16–22 pounds. • They eat dead things! • The skin on the condor’s head and neck works sort of like a mood ring, changing color depending on its emotions.
