DIGITAL BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION IS REPLACING COST REDUCTION AS THE TOP DRIVER FOR NEW BPM INITIATIVES
21 |
THE FUTURE OF BPM
Moving to a digital business is a major driver for BPM investments
BPM should be repositioned as a Key enabler for Digital Business and the Digital Transformation • BPM is shifting from isolated process improvement projects to a
sustainable, enterprise-wide business process transformation program supported by top executives.
• The use of digital technologies allows new business models and provides new revenue and value-producing opportunities.

THE FUTURE OF BPM
Evolve to a Business Transformation Office The BPM Competence Center has to transfrom to the powerhouse for fast change, innovation and exploration of opportunities in the age of the customer Agile Structures change the role of (middle) management: Stable roles and assigned employees are replaced by dynamic areas of responsibility where the teams interact with a high self-responsibility.

SMART OBJECTS - INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT)
Ten thousands of sensors in a plant
Smart Objects and Sensors in the physical world are going to change the processes fundamentally – the way we interact and take decisions.
By 2025 it’s estimated (IDC) that there will be 80 billion devices - from fridges to thermostats to street lights – connected with the Internet – today there are 11 billion.
