Summarizing
Paraphrasing: Paraphrasing is simply restating a passage in your
own words. It states fully and clearly the meaning of a complex piece of writing. Because it includes your interpretation of the work, paraphrasing is at least the same length as the original, more often than not it is longer.
Synopsis: A synopsis is a brief snapshot capturing the essence
of, or in other words the general view of, the original text, book, play, or communication.

Important message to kids
Good morning! Just to reiterate and make sure we are all on the same page-
The Board finalized our new athletic eligibility standards mid-
way through the 2nd trimester. So, we will not be enforcing the “one F = no playing the next semester” for this 3rd trimester session. However, the policy will be in full effect after this trimester (ie – fail a class this tri and you will not play a fall sport if you do not complete the class in summer school)… Thanks for your assistance in educating people on this new standard.
Have a great Monday! Curt Babcock, Ph.D.
