More Americans than ever before are receiving a higher-level education than those who don’t. Similar to Europe taking a gap year before college is becoming more popular in the United States. An extra year will help students/families get more money for their education, some believe that taking a year off of school will be expensive, but if you get a part time job you will gain money and sometimes extra money. The term gap year doesn’t mean you have to take a full year off. Some students will take 6 months off.
