stonemason would be required as to the condition of the memorial to ensure any conservation works are coordinated as part of the landscaping.

The existing concrete slab surrounding the memorial base IS TO REMAIN to ensure stability, with no pressure applied to that slab while

landscape materials are removed.

Any demolition or landscaping works around the memorial will not worsen the condition of the monument and ensure drainage to fall away from the monument. An exemption certificate from the Queensland Government is to be secured prior to any works commencing.

EXISTING TREES

Trees are to be assessed by Qualified Horticulturalist and a Qualified Arborist on commencement of works, with any remedial work to be

carried out in conjunction with landscaping works. Root damage is to be minimal and where necessary any existing rocks/structure that

needs to be kept in place to ensure the stability of the tree should remain, and any root damage reported.

design suggests the use of exposed aggregate concrete using three complimentary coloured exposed pebbles (5mm-10mm); Pink granite; Blue Riverstone (gray) and Walsh Gold (cream coloured). All works to be to Council Standards in accordance with FNQROC, and

Australian Standards. AREAS 2 &3 have small areas of hard stand pavement to accommodate smoking away from footpaths. Recycle existing clay pavers from

pedestrian crossings to match existing footpaths in Macrossan street, with laying pattern to be approved by Council in accordance with FNQROC, and Australian Standards.
