About the NationalRapid Reemployment Initiative
DEA and NASWA are jointly developing the Rapid Reemployment Initiative to achieve two major goals:
1. To create an ongoing national rapid reemployment project to connect downsizing employers with hiring employers for the benefit of those employees affected by any type of job loss.
2. To create a process and system to offer job-matching to UI claimants.
The Rapid Reemployment Initiative includes three online modules:
1. An employer outplacement exchange2. A career event network3. A resume builder with integrated job search tools
Here is a visual graphic of what the Rapid Reemployment Initiative looks like . . . . .
Appropriate modules will be available to states to place relevant pages on their systems to provide information and entry points to the system.

We are working with Rich Berman, PR Consultant, for publicity, marketing and communications support. This will be timed carefully while we populate the system with outplacement data.
GREAT opportunity for PR for your own company, if you are downsizing, to demonstrate proactive and good-faith efforts in assisting your displaced employees in finding new work.
Participating companies in the RRI are encouraged to provide Rich Berman ([email protected]) with your internal PR contact.
Track successful hires who found a job using the RRI – a great PR opportunity for your organization, whether you are downsizing or hiring!
How Employers Can Utilize the Rapid Reemployment Initiative
NOW A CALL TO ACTION! Help workers affected by a layoff get
reemployed more rapidly.
Start NOW – Begin entering your company’s outplacement data by logging into the RRI system TODAY: If your company is a member of DirectEmployers Association, enter
the RRI at the Member’s Desktop (You’ll need your user ID and password). If your company is NOT a member of DirectEmployers Association,
enter the RRI at http://www.jobcentral.com/rri-downsizing-employers.asp. (No user ID or password is required).
These links are LIVE, but currently there are no other live entry points into the system. Currently, only downsizing employers can access the system to begin populating the database. Therefore job seekers and hiring employers will not be able to access the RRI until March 15.
Working Together with Workforce Partners Creates a Win-Win!
If your company is downsizing and your HR department is working with your state’s Rapid Response program, share the benefits of using RRI with the Rapid Response Coordinator in your state.
If your company is working with an outplacement firm or similar job placement firm, let them also know about the RRI and how it can help your displaced employees connect to hiring employers.
The Rapid Reemployment Initiative will help all employers—across state lines—whether they are downsizing or hiring.
Let’s all work together to leverage what the RRI has to offer!
