Are we using real blood?

Why are we doing this lab?
a. Mix parents’ blood to see what babies can be produces.
b. Learn how to find out what blood type a person is so that we can match the parents with their babies.
c. See what happens when someone is given a transfusion of blood that isn’t compatible with them
Procedure
1. 2 drops of Anti-A in the A well.2. 2 drops of Anti-B in the B well.3. 2 drops of blood in the A well and in the B
well.4. Stir each well using a separate toothpick –
throw the toothpick out!5. Look for agglutination (clumping).
