Thermal ManagementThe ARD-5816 enclosure also features thermal management to optimize reliability in mission-critical environments where continuous, 24/7 operation is essential. Exceptional thermal management provides channeled air flow to each board for optimal cooling and superior reliability. Maximum FlexibilityThe modular design provides maximum flexibility for the ARD-5816. Each transmitter and receiver is divided into two portion, transmitter/receiver engine board and video input and output board. The available video input and output boards include a collection of HDMI, DVI-D, 3G-SDI, DP, RGB video input and output to support a broad range of video resolutions and formats, with of fiber optic or twisted pair to support various distance requirements. The video input and output boards may be mixed and matched within the enclosure in any combination of fiber optic and twisted pair transmitters/receiver boards to meet system needs. The input output boards provide sending and receiving RS-232, USB, IR, Audio signals as well. This versatility makes the ARD-5816 an ideal solution for larger systems that need to support remote sources and destinations.

Streamlines System Design and InstallationThe AV matrix switchers generally reside in equipment racks, which are typically at some distance away from both the source equipments and display devices. In general, a mixture of transmitters and receivers are utilized to distribute signals to and from these locations, often with the need to overcome specific challenges such as limited conduit space, as well as distance limitations. The ability to accommodate multiple transmitters and receivers in a single enclosure streamlines system design and installation.

Power over Ethernet ARD-5816 is a Power Source Equipment (PSE) which has Power over Ethernet built into all transmitter and receiver boards. There is no power required on Powered Device (PD) transmitter and receiver connected to ARD-5816’s transmitter and receiver. Power Source Equipment (PSE): ARD-5816, ARD-1007TXPowered Device (PD): ARD-1007RX, ARD-1008TX, ARD-1008RX

Internal Power Supply and External DC 48V InputARD-5816 has two options for the power supply. One is internal power supply and one is external DV 48V input. For large scale implementation, power supply redundancy may be necessary to eliminate single point of failure due to power supply failure. External DC 48V Input allows end user to use Rack Mount Redundant Power Supply to power multiple ARD-5816 units.
