Background
• The rock band was formed in 2002 in Sheffield.• The members of Artic Monkeys are Alex
Turner ,Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley and Matt Helders.
• Their past member Andy Nicholson left the band in 2006 and was later replaced by Nick O’Malley
• They have made 6 albums which have won them 7 Brit Awards
Songs
• Their top 10 best songs since they stared are do I wanna know from their latest album and crying lightning from their album “Humbug” from 2009 just to name a few.
• Their album AM was rated by rolling stone to be the 30th greatest album of all time.
• Arctic monkeys have recorded 45 songs in total.
Festivals and tours
• They have performed at Glastonbury in 2007 and 2013 after their most successful albums.
• In 2007 they held their own festival at Lancashire County Cricket Ground.
• Their first tour was on October 2nd 2005 in Liverpool.
• Their NME tour was their going right across the UK in 8 places including their origin in Sheffield.
Influences
• Arctic monkeys were influenced by The Smiths, Oasis, Blur, The Clash, The Liberties and Beastie Boys .
