TOUR ITINERARY

THE TOUR AT A GLANCE… Our tour takes a new direction after beginning in vibrant New York to see the very latest in contemporary architecture, we then travel south down through Philadelphia, Washington, Tampa and to Miami in Florida. We then fly to Cancun for the highlight of Mayan architecture in Mexico. One of the many wonders of the world. Chichen Itza was the inspiration for Jorn Utzon’s platform base, to the shells of the Sydney Opera House. His travels in 1956 help create a path for many of our ongoing architectural pilgrimages around the world. We then fly across to the fascinating Havana which has been in a time warp with virtually no building work for the past 60 years.

We pride ourselves in achieving a high percentage of return guests and whilst some are architects, most just enjoy the variety of buildings, urban spaces and people, which all help to create the camaraderie and fun on all of our renowned architecture tours. We have included exceptional buildings, many with guided tours, providing a balance of new and old classics. We have also allowed additional time for participants to individually enjoy personal interests, or time to enjoy galleries, visit museums and share the sheer pleasures these beautiful places have to offer.

PARTICIPANTS ON OUR 2018 TOUR SAID…

• Many thanks to you both (and Travelrite) for a fantastic US tour! A very memorable experience indeed…and nice to meet all the Tour group as well!

• What a delight and privilege it was for me to spend that time soaking in amazing architecture with such a lovely, interesting group of people. I enjoyed meeting all of you.

• As non-architects, but with a passion for great buildings and a long standing curious fascination in all things Frank Lloyd Wright, we decided to embark on this trip and must say it has exceeded our expectations. It was a great way to tour these parts of the USA and explore not only great architectural buildings with informative tour guides at each location, but also venture into new cities.

• As one of the “non architects” I was impressed how you made every building interesting for me and simultaneously brought humour and bonhomie to each and every day. I learnt a lot from you, the guides and from many of our fellow travelers also along the way and for this I am grateful. A terrific, eclectic group of people and a well oiled touring machine; a credit to you and your colleagues.

• Thank you for a very well organized and most enjoyable USA Architecture Tour.• Thank you for your efforts to enable us to see such exciting places in USA.• For me the experience was invaluable, one that I will always remember.
