batavia elementary staff wanted a design for an outdoor classroom to be located on the existingplayground. my interpretation was a multi-functional space for learning and a playground piece forintroverted children. a fallen leaf from was the metaphor of the structure as it sits under a group of trees.the staff selected my design for further development.
